watching your videos of you painting has really made me realize thought I should put more effort in planning when I’m painting I usually just draw a quick little sketch and then start painting immediately and don’t think about the colors or the rule of thirds so thank you for showing the whole process!!

Michael, I love your work. You capture light and atmosphere so perfectly , and your paintings reflect a sort of higher form Impressionism, while your brushwork is loose and yet still so precise. You have inspired me to go outside and paint and the result is a marked improvement in my landscapes. Keep it up, and thank you for sharing your process. I could watch these videos all day, I almost felt like I was right there at the river. I love the suggestive detailing, it gives the painting room to breathe without a loss of perspective. Nice one!
I guess true artists have to paint no matter their circumstance. I think that’s why you see impressionist paintings of rooftops, crowded parks, trains going through tunnels, people sitting on front porchs, gasoline pumps on roads wo traffic. There is always something that makes you create a story of your own on viewing. That’s why I love Hopper and your work reminds me of his every time I see it. I keep looking for the story for me. I would buy if rich. I like a lot.

No need for "April in Paris"--a favorite song of mine. Your Paris videos are like a golden box of Belgian chocolates--each one better than the last. All of the Seine scenes are gorgeous. Paris is shimmering and simmering. Love the hotel. You deserve it.
