My husband proposed to me at Soldier Field, the day after Christmas game against the Jets. lol of halftime was dedicated to Hester and I was so invested in all the highlights, I almost missed the proposal on the stadium side screens. One of the happiest and most special days of my life. I was lucky enough to have season tickets at the time and every game with Hester and that defense was a sight to behold. Peanut was absolutely amazing to see in action too. So many great guys have played for our team over the years. Bear Down baby!!
The question isn't whether Charles Tillman should be in the Hall of Fame, it's why isn't he already? Teams that win the turnover battle win almost 70% of the time, increasing to 84% if the margin is by two and over 90% if by three. Tillman had a hand in generating more turnovers than any CB inducted into the Hall of Fame this century except Charles Woodson: Totals INTs, Fumble Recoveries and Fumbles Forced And Recovered By Teammates: Charles Tillman: 71 Ronde Barber: 68 Champ Bailey: 61 Ty Law: 60 Darrelle Revis: 42 On a per game basis Tillman forced or helped force a turnover over 40% more frequently than every one of those Hall of Fame CBs. If that doesn't convince you then consider where Tillman ranks, as a DB, in the all-time forced fumbles list. Here are all the DBs in the top 100: T6 Charles Tillman: 44 T20 Charles Woodson: 33 T64 Nate Clements: 22 T73 Dre' Bly: 20 T73 Malcom Jenkins: 20 T73 Josh Norman: 20 T73 Rod Woodson: 20 Hell, how many Hall of Fame players can say they have a football move named after them? The Peanut Punch is now drilled into every generation of players. And if anyone doubts Tillman's prowess in coverage, remember the season Calvin Johnson broke Jerry Rice's single season yardage record with 1,964 yards. Against Tillman, who the Bears lined up against him all day, he had a season low 3 catches on for 34 yards on 11 targets and 5 catches for 72 yards on 14 targets, 2 of only 4 games he had all year with less than 94 yards. Johnson also didn't score a TD. That's an average over two games of 4 catches for 53 yards at an average of 13.25 ypc. Against the rest of the NFL Johnson averaged 8 catches for 132.7 yards at an average of 16.3 ypc. Johnson's catch percentages in the two games going up against Tillman were 27.3% and 35.7%, his two lowest of the season. His season average was 59.8% Meanwhile across those 2 games Tillman had 10 solo tackles and 1 assist, defended 4 passes, and forced 2 fumbles. If it wasn't for the excellence of Charles Tillman, Calvin Johnson would have become the first receiver in NFL history to surpass 2,000 yards in a season. Give the man his Gold Jacket.

Mike Brown was an absolute beast! I was in the stadium for a lions game and I remember him hitting the ball carrier so hard at the north end zone, that you could hear it in our seats in the south end zone!! Absolutely insane! Also the 3 turnovers in less than a minute against Cleveland lol
Die hard Bears fan since 1965! Moved away from the beloved Chicago area in the early 80s and life got in the way and BUSY. Followed DA Bears as best as I could and during the Urlacher era, no offense to the great one but all I kept hearing about was LANCE BRIGGS all the f'in time. GO LANCE!! You better get in just on your on the field merits, period!!! Congratulations.
Lance Briggs was the Best Linebacker in the League a few times amongst football fans... Urlacher was the truth, but Lance was that good... Olin was flat out solid and we've missed him sense... Peanut Tillman was a game changer... Lance should definitely be first ballot, but I don't know what goes into that stuff... He was a joy to watch...

My heroes just wish we would had won that super bowl
The Peanut Punch. They changed the rules for pre-snap motion thanks to Olin's wiggling fingers. Those that change the game deserve to be in the HoF !
First ballot inductees! Absolutely deserved
All 3 deserve to go without a doubt

Lance Briggs & Peanut Tillman definitely deserve it
All three should be in
