- We needed a getaway from work and stress so a last minute booking to Grandfather Mountain Campground and here we are. Come with us as we explore and catch some fish. Looked like everyone had a great time even caught some trout so that’s definitely a great trip in my book! Them crawfish were almost big enough to eat dang man lol.. just wondering is there a reason why you don’t use a bead when your free fishing? I been watching some videos on it after you introduced it to me😉 I definitely gotta find a good place to buy the weights because man they are a bit on the expensive side and I’m cheap 😂 I payed $16-19 a 10 pack on Amazon, I’m gonna see if I can find them locally before I buy more. Great video brother glad y’all had some success fishing!
Thanks man we enjoyed it very much. I’ve tried it with the bead and I didn’t like it. The bead is there to protect your knot. I just don’t get the same “thump” when I pop the rod up. That thump is the tungsten hitting the plastic. I run my plastics pass the hook tie hole if you can follow me…… and the tungsten bangs the plastic not the knot. I get my 3/16 weights from Walmart. It’s the ozark trail one with the circle tie hole on top. I’ve order my 1/8 tungsten from a guy in Wisconsin. I get the teardrop ones and the long stick ones from him. I’ll find his link and post it here for you when I find it.
