If you have not seen the series yet, and you've never seen the movie "Psycho" I would beg you to see the film first before you see the series. That way you can get into the mythos of the Bates family.

I love how he doesn’t have to get so deep into the character like most actors do especially with playing roles like this. He genuinely looks at it like he’s playing make believe as a childhood on the playground.

I literally just finished watching the last three episodes of the last season, like half an hour ago. Home, with a fucked up leg and knee, and decided I had time to finish it. Then I get on RUclips and this uploaded. 😳

i think he really improved over the last five series. he was a bit shaky in season 1 and 2 and his british accent slipped out here and there and but season 3 onward, i think he was truly amazing and got on vera's level. i was actually sceptical going into season 5 bc i knew there'd be less vera but freddie really pulled it out of the bag. he was phenomenal! and ofc vera, too, as MOTHER.
    such an great series.

Brilliant. Catharsis is amazing when used in a more creative way than destructive. I am an artist and it feels so good to be able to put that energy into what it really needs and thrives on. I can't wait to see this show, "a good doctor"! I might even get cable tv again ;)
