- A couple weeks ago I had this idea about the idea of the vaccination anthem. This pandemic has colored pop culture permanently, whether we like it or not. On the way to us, almost inevitably, are pandemic romcoms and pandemic novels and, in my case, pandemic songs. This song came about partly as a joke, a parody of one of my favorite songwriters of all time, Phoebe Bridgers, who specializes in dark, spare, precise lyrics about Our Unprecedented Times. My prediction about how Bridgers would tackle love in the time of vaccination-and an accompanying clip of the hypothetical song-took off on Twitter, so me and my producer, Rahki, decided to finish the song and turn it into something that sounds like me. It’s about how the emotional stakes of our relationships have been ratcheted up in light of global calamity, about hipsters and science and dogs and love. Enjoy.
This has gone from being a really funny twitter bit to a genuinely great song. That's amazing and you're crazy talented

This song was playing on a German news radio station during a coverage on the psychological effects of Covid and I was hooked by your voice. There was so much passion, soul and heart in your voice I had to find out who sang it. Sadly, I am very bad at remembering lyrics, but luckily, I remembered enough 😊
I've loved this song ever since the original tweet version, and I knew I had to listen to it immediately after getting my first vaccine dose this morning. It packed an emotional punch for so many different reasons on every listen, but hearing "I turn to you, ask how it feels to be immune" right after getting the shot hits so different. Thank you for crafting such a beautiful song that is both timeless and yet perfectly encapsulates this exact moment.

This is amazing, just straight up amazing. This is what music is all about, what living is all about. Asking tough questions, fighting for unclear answers, constantly moving, flowing, stopping and going, being a bold contradiction in the face of our inner demons. Your sound is special, and I'm so glad I stumbled upon this song today. I'm just one random person on the internet, and I don't really leave comments on videos, but I just felt like I should tell you, even if you never read this, that I needed this. I wasn't looking for it, but I needed this. Life's been so gray for the past year, I've been shut in more than usual, and I've let it normalize my lack of motivation to exist, and this song didn't fix everything, but it gave me a push, a spark, just that little something I was missing. This hit me just as hard as when I first heard Phoebe Bridgers or Julien Baker, and just like listening to them, I finally felt enough of something to write again. But today, I got a little something done, and this song helped me find the starting point, so thank you for helping me to get some of my feelings out onto paper again.
