This was very interesting and helpful! We do some heat pressing where I work, but we usually do screen printed transfers. So dtf is a little new for us. But I keep seeing mixed reviews on using a teflon sheet. Is it actually necessary for dtf transfers, or is it something I can skip using when I heat press my shirts?
Hey there, good question. It's hard to say given all the things you can be heat pressing so sadly the answer has to be, try and see if you like the results. We do know that while using the teflon sheet we like the amount of shine it produces and the quality is great for us. We also get a little extra protection so we don't burn the garment. But if you try it without and you like the results and quality, then have at it friend. Just be careful not to burn the apparel :)
Hello! Yes, once the powder has been cured, you can store away the sheets for later use! Just keep them in a cool, dry place and they should last for a long time 🙂 Thanks for stopping by! If you have any further questions as you get to know DTF and heat press decorating, feel free to reach out! Our DM's are always open @keyprintco on Instagram!
Hello Rochelle! We know it seems like a lot of steps, but it is actually quite fast, as you only have to print a sheet once, and you can fit multiple on one page if the design allows for it. Then, all you have to do is heat press it and you're done! No waiting for shirts to print, reloading, and resetting the printer with each print! Hello! We find putting it 1 typically works! However, we always suggest doing a height check prior to starting the print to ensure the highest quality possible!
Hello! When printing the white layer, we keep the print quality level at a level one (the speed setting) to keep the white ink from getting thicker than necessary. You can also let the ink set a bit prior to coating it with the adhesive powder by gently laying it under your heat press with the hot plate hovering above the print for a few minutes. Thanks for stopping by! Feel free to reach out again with any more questions!
Hey there. As with most things in the print shop it's all about the process and the price. For some it might not be worth it if you are trying to be the cheapest. For others this is a gold mine and a great way to get more out of your printer investment. We'll leave it to everyone to make their own decision. We just want to make sure printers know their options :)
Nope! It feels more like a smooth decal, as if a film sticker was permanently pressed into a shirt. You can feel the difference compared to a DTG or Screen Print, but the quality and washability remains the same. Thanks for stopping by! Let us know if you have any more questions!
Nope! It is regular DTG ink! Click the link in the description to our blog that breaks down the entire process to see all the exact settings we used when printing the transfers. Thanks for stopping by!
Unlike DTG Printer DTF is more faster in terms of productivity ... Applied print will be 100% transferred and more stretch free also breathable.. The print quality is 1400dpi which is much better than DTG
Superb❤
Is DTF is long lasting for cotton or poly cotton tee shirts too ???
Need to pre treatment shifts, this work for cotton and polyester thanks
Does the finished design, once applied to the shirt, have a good stretch? Or, does it tend to crack when any stretch is applied to the shirts...

we are getting this for our work, once you have set the powder onto the image, is this where you can store it away for a later use?

Hey JC in the video we are using the DTF kit from All American Print Supply. Check them out and I'm sure they would be happy to get you set up.
Hi. Which position you use the platen for dtf printing?
Hello! We find putting it 1 typically works! However, we always suggest doing a height check prior to starting the print to ensure the highest quality possible!
Did you have to change the white ink density? My white ink came out a bit runny?

I’m having the same issue, I let the color sit for 5 min and it still became runny when I laid the white down.
So it takes how long to create one transfer? This seems very time consuming to sell bulk transfers and make any profit with the amount of time needed?

Does a big image like this feel rubbery?
Nope! It feels more like a smooth decal, as if a film sticker was permanently pressed into a shirt. You can feel the difference compared to a DTG or Screen Print, but the quality and washability remains the same.

@@KeyPrintCo thanks! I think I have to play around with it a bit more. I printed a large print and it seemed like a rubber stamp on the shirt
Blessings can you do this with f2000?
Hello! We haven't tried it with the F2000, but the process should still work the same way! If you try it with your F2000, let us know how it goes!
@@KeyPrintCo i´m thinking about to print DTF but...
why my print design yellow after melt powder
And is the ink dtf ink ?
