    I'm waiting for my van and the layout I Went for is similar to the AT 635 Sport. The reason I didn't go for the Autotrail are 1. The fridge I Wanted a compressor and an eye level fridge. I don't know why AT persist with that small, manual 3 way fridge. 2. The other reason is the small leisure battery 75Ah according to the website. 75Ah is really small.
    On the other hand they do look good from the outside.

    Our 634 sport from new on a 19 plate is probably the best van we’ve owned, and I would say we bought ours at the best time, before Covid and before the prices became crazy…. The 2 things we love and first attracted us was the tall fridge (behind drivers seat) and the cosy wrap round lounge. Unfortunately they sadly ended production of the 634 Sport … Of course there have been quite a few variations of layout but this one we have was for us. Plenty of cupboard space makes this van very useful. Having downsized initially from a chieftain this was a big ask but we have managed it, and with no need to tow a car anymore it makes it much easier for moving about “and” parking. I’ve done a few modifications with extra usb points added, and fitted led lights fitted in the wardrobe and under the sink cupboards. I’ve also removed the wardrobe centre bar and replaced the hinges with new 175deg openings which gives us much better access to the wardrobe. On the FB V-lines owners page most of these mods are pretty much standard and I would recommend anyone buying a V-line to join this very useful group. We probably have another 10 yrs of van life touring left, but thanks to your video if we were considering changing our van then the tracker RL shown would be a good choice… 👍🍻

    Some of these independent van conversion companies can do wonderful things for £30k. My advice would be to buy your own van and get the conversion you really want. Visited the Caravan show this year and the quality in these isn’t great either. Full of cheap materials and thrown together. £70k plus is laughable.

      I do wonder if there were companies that could do bespoke coach built conversions. I still prefer coachbuilts.

      Have to agree Matty, the quality control, not just with AT but with many of the manufacturers has gone downhill with the emphasis on cost cutting and profit margins. The massive discounts given to dealers they now rely on the customer finding the faults and getting it done under warranty. It’s a cheap way of passing on the quality control to someone else, and is a sign of the times, but it is what it is. And if I was younger I would definitely consider a self build. However I’m too old in the bones now to take on such a project…

    It’s great that new stock is arriving. I just wish our Adria would arrive. Now 13 months on order with a delivery date of between March and June 2023. Oh well.

    Very interesting to see your review of the exposition 68. We ordered ours in September 2021, still no sign of it. Some one who lives near us received there’s in July apparently from Todd’s , perhaps we went to the wrong dealer. Very good review thankyou.

    Hahaha a van called expedition but doesn’t have satnav 😂 please stop saying it’s a small fridge. I’m going to make a sweeping statement Bob but most MH users never venture far from EHU or campsite showers so a cool bag would do 🤣 after seven weeks in Spain our ‘small’ compressor fridge was more than enough. No one needs to store like you’re heading for Antarctic, they have shops everywhere even France 🤣

    • @BobEarnshawMoHo
      @BobEarnshawMoHo  Год назад +1

      The trouble with sweeping statements is not everyone is the same. We prefer to shop for a week's shopping so a big fridge is essential for us, so we do shop like we're on an expedition to the antarctic! We use our own shower all the time, hardly ever use campsite showers.

      @@BobEarnshawMoHo you and I are in the minority Bob, those who use our own facilities and I can say that confidently after four years touring and watching people shuffle to and fro, ridiculous. For me all sites should offer hard standing only pitches (eco), no hook up and no toilets facilities but provide the ability to tank. Unfortunately, the big clubs already have the well positioned sites and dictate and charge for facilities we don't want or use. It's a conversation for sure.
