@@Moon_Punk here is my theory - Killer is Safi from the 3-rd timeline. If the foto on dead's Safi camera is selfie, that would hella confirm that. Als Max will start to suspect Safi from the 2nd timeline as distraction :D
I'm also suspicious of her, but she could be a red herring too. I'm torn. EDIT: Okay okay, my loose theory: her mom is tangentially responsible. She's involved in some kind of shady dealings, or corruption, and it's the people she's involved with that ultimately killed Safi. So she wasn't directly involved, but still responsible in a way.
I do tend to believe that Safi's family is affiliated with some shady things, too. And Safi being killed is like a kind of revenge.. But I don't think that her mother is directly involved in her murder, just the death of her daughter was planed to scare her or something..
Yeah, I agree with that theory, it sounds super plausible given what we know about her, and it does kind of feel like they're trying to make us think that she could be the killer… I think, after true colors, we're sort of primed to look for the next Jed… And yeah… They've always been really good at throwing curveballs at the last minute. I don't think it's Yasmine, but I do think she's somehow involved… another thought that comes to mind is, I think we could likely get a lot more than we bargained for in this story, meaning, I think there's a chance we might learn something about the nature of powers in the life is strange universe… I don't really have a lot to go on here, just that bringing back Max seems to, in a larger story sense, come full circle, and the one answer we never got answered in the first game was why… Why Max? And in the same sense, why Daniel, and why Alex? A lot of people speculated after the first game that Chloe was somehow responsible for Max's power, but Chloe isn't even in the picture really, I think Max's power tends to manifest stronger in times of crisis… Same with Daniel really, he would get super emotional and lose control. It's basically an incredible Hulk story. Alex was the same way. I think about writing is that the climax has a way of bringing the beginning of the story back to haunt you. It's the same thing with writing a research paper really, there's like a thesis statement and then at the end you bring the thesis statement back out, linking it all together. It depends, I guess, if double exposure is supposed to be the last life is strange game. If that's the case, then I think the larger story might be revealed…
I can see your point. Even at this point, we don’t know too much about Yasmin but there is something off about her. We’ll have to see how well this video ages as she could just be a red herring. Granted I think that Detective Alderman is going to be the red herring character. One theory I am still sticking with is that Safi was killed by accident and was not the intended target. Max was.
Remember your more likely to be murdered by someone you know personally not someone random. This is due to the fact someone you know will have motivations, the main motivations are love, money, hate and envy. So everyone whos close to her should be the most suspicious. Also because of “double exposure” I definitely think two people will be exposed. Also id argue that life is strange two does sorta follow this narrative due to the fact that the people against them are all in a position of power and because a officer as he was in a position of power was killed they were unwilling to hear the boys out unlike if it was a random normal person instead.
I have a theory but it's long drag : so we know yasmin recruited max to caledon but maybe there is something darker than that ....... Maybe yasmin knows about max s past Depending on both endings and we know in both ending jefferson gets arrested so my theory is perhaps yasmin had some strings with jefferson and jefferson wants her to recruit max to caledon for revenge let's face it max is the reason jefferson in jail in both endings by manipulating time maybe jefferson and her had some kind of dirt or past ? Back to the murder i believe that the bullet was meant for max however when max took the picture of the moon her head buzzed a little suggesting that maxs power starting to manifest yet again as a precaution that something bad will happen when she took the picture of the owl she collapsed completely when she wake up she said something is wrong we know when max power manifest is when she's in danger everytime something bad happened to max the screen turns gray and they give you the option to rewind my point here is max was the one who's meant to die but when her power manifest the two parallel timeline collided and max and safi exchanged places so instead of max it was safi when the collision happened max powered evolves to something extraordinary from bending time to bending reality and in the trailer we can safi saved max from something that almost crushed her so yeah maybe the killernwill strike again but not to kill safi but to kill max and this could indicate that yasmin is the antagonist
@@kendrajrockin5 Doesn't sound familiar. Can you link me to one? Also, any parent that murders their child is not meant for this world either. Just IMHO.
Random silly thought, what if max killed her.... a max from a different timeline. I was thinking about how max's time jump mechanics work. Does her conscience possess her other timeline's body or does she physically moves between timelines? who's to say the other timeline max ( evil max ) also find out about her powers and its just becomes a game of cat and mouse with herself. not a serious theory but it was fun to think about.
Hello :) I was also very suspicious of Safi’s mom, especially when it was revealed that she brought Max and Moses to Caledon, but I have the feeling that she could be a red herring. Or involved in some other shady stuff that isn’t Safi’s murder. Because by now, her being the killer is almost too obvious XD Maybe she was threatened, didn’t take it seriously and now lost her daughter because of it? Or it could be a Jed situation, where it was partly an accident and partly a deliberate decision? The “supernatural mystery” part also has me intrigued … so far, we hadn’t had a single game with more than one gifted person, so maybe Double Exposure will be the game to deliver? Oh my God, what if SAFI has powers and was killed because her mother thought they were too dangerous? And that’s why she’s after Max too?? I remember that this was actually a theory back in Life is Strange, where fans speculated that girls with powers get killed because they cause the storm. Ahh, so many theories with so little to support them XD Basically, I’m looking for a reason that is … well, not understandable, but something that isn’t just “cold-hearted mother who only thinks about herself”, but something deeper. We’ll find out soon, I guess! Thanks for covering this theory :) I fell in love with your channel immediately, so I’m very happy to become a member :D
Your take on this adds a new layer of nuance to this theory! I can definitely see this as being similar to Jed's situation in True Colors! Being threatened and having someone retaliate against Safi, meaning that she has to try to cover her own tracks if she was involved in something shady! If it turns out that the killer is someone else, I wouldn't mind at all! I'm even more intrigued by the idea of Deck Nine deviating from the typical formula and exploring new options, especially when it comes to the supernatural element! Thank you so much for watching and for becoming a member! Your support means a lot! So much more to discuss soon! :)
I still stand firmly on the idea that evil Max is the killer 😀 or some kind of supernatural element which was woken up by Max’s messing with time and space. Maybe there will be no particular killer, just a mixture of coincidences. Similar feeling to LiS 1 when all your choices were basically reduced to bae or bay. I feel like it would be too easy to actually have one killer 😂 Ok, last theory - maybe it was a collective murder? Safi sure stood in someone’s way!! Btw, I really enjoyed the parallel with the previous villains. I loved the plot twist with Jefferson. Charisma turned into psychopathy. But Jed… I felt a bit disappointed, that old man didn’t fit into the evil costume 😂
I really hated Jed being the main bad guy too 😭 I liked Jed’s character a lot and I thought he was a great figure in Gabe’s and then Alex’s lives. Someone they could turn to after spending so much of their childhoods looking after themselves and not trusting anyone. And when we learn that he is connected to Typhon, I didn’t feel that sense of betrayal and anger. It was just like you said, disappointing 😅 Like with Jefferson, I love his character and I love hating on him as the villain. But after Jed’s reveal I just… don’t care about him at all in my playthroughs anymore.
I sincerely hope your theory about max being the killer is wrong...I love Max and her being the villain would make both angry at Deck nine and very depressed too :(

Yasmin is a good option for a villain , I think another option could be the police officer, or if it is Yasmin, I’m pretty sure since we can assume she has a lot of money since she’s applying to be president; my theory is that she paid the cop shown in the pax gameplay a lot of money to kill Sapphie because it would look bad for her to have done the murder during election
This might just be due to bad writing, but... I’d expect Yasmin to be completely devastated after finding out her daughter was killed. But she doesn’t even look sad. Actually, it’s the opposite - I’d say she does feel something, but it’s not the kind of grief you’d expect after losing someone. You know what I mean? It’s like she’s just trying to be careful while feeling guilty at the same time Like I said, maybe it’s just bad writing, but it’s definitely weird
I got other theorys (if you seen my comment on other video) game dev says: we getting the power earlyr then other LIS games. what if the time lines are already broken and that now more people got there own ways of powers like time travel or switching between time lines. in a early look from gameplay when max is on a roof with friends making a picture and safi go outside of the building for a phone call. when max starts follow her making picture from a owl it looks like if max is switching timelines withouth knowing it. and my theory is in 1 timeline where safi is dead we will meet chloe and the othe timeline just safi. what if max need to make a choice who needs to die chloe or safi (chloe died by player choice arcadia or chloe safi died how we dont know) to restore timelines they cant life both while they both needed to be dead.
