Terry, I used to have a 22" Pearl special. Got it in around 1977. It was B8 made in Japan. At the time in like 1979, when I started gigging, I thought it didn't cut. So I got a Zildjian 18" mini cup ride because it was like 85$ and cut really well. I finally sold it and wish I hadn't. It was kind of Paiste sounding without that really high end, but the low wash was great. I could definitely use that cymbal on jazz gigs now where I dont need cut.
Hi Jim-it's funny now how there are so many dry types of cymbals being sold these days that sound exactly like what we thought were trash can lids back in our day. But that also translated to me that it shored up the 'unless it was a name brand cymbal it was sure to sound like shite' mentality. And that led to me selling off many cymbals that I'd like to have around today.
After all the stick spinning I tried to walk and chew gum, yeah I fell down. Oh and the drums sound so good right out of the box the stock heads are very nice.
Just curious..... How do you feel/ think about Ludwig Rocker Kits? Do you have any , and if so have you made a video about those drums?! Those drums you're playing sound amazing! 👍 Thanks for sharing your talent when the world! 🤘🏾🤘🏾🎼😎
Needs more cowbell for the true GTBT experience. The bass drum sounds fantastic for a 20"! Has a bit of that original Zep 1st album sound. Snare sounds like Carouselambra. or Bonzos Montreax, or Wearin & Tearin. Basically a Coda snare, with that tuning. Toms ...pure awesome even with factory heads. Play along to some Zeppelin man! 602 ride has a great ride sound. I dont like the bell or the crash of it. But the decay is nice and it stays warm for 45+seconds which is great for slow 6/8 stuff.
This kit sounds really nice, and the ride has balls. But I wanted to ask you - what hi-hat are you using in this video? It's loud, it has nice stick definition and sounds fantastic
Sounds great. That symbol is a different sound. Kind of stand alone-ish . Maybe it is just me.. When you played edge to bell tiny sound . But when played together it was allot better. Love the luds.
The drums sound great. What is your opinion on the Neusonic’s hardware? Oh, and Terry, face it, you are a celebrity. It’s a Bonzoleum world and the rest of us are just living in it. Thank you for another fantastic video.
That ride is very dark and mysterious for an old Paiste ! The kit’s really nice sounding, especially the kick , which has a super punch ! Great fun , as usual , TK , thanks 😃
Hey Terry sounds awesome great man! And looks beautiful..that ride cymbal sounds and looks amazing as well brutha...keep them vids a coming bro..😁👍🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🥁🥁🥁🥁🎶🎶🎶🎶
First off, love your videos! you make great company while I'm tinkering in the drum shed. very informative on the Bonz, and just a great fun dude***. I'm not sure if you've discovered this yet but I found a page that has raw tracks from just about every popular rock drummer, known! Isolated !! The Bonham tracks you can hear the Bear growling during fills chanting words during grooves... its incredible to say the least. and to hear other iso track's form Zep, like the tuning of Bonhams snare in this video ! sorry if you've already discovered this. peace my brother* Kiboko is the host of this media: ruclips.net/video/SH2w14YjoZ8/видео.html

That cymbal reminds me of the one played on My Sunday Feeling by Jethro Tull.
Kit sounds superb! You were spot on with the Mitch Mitchell sound. Throw a wallet on the snare and you nailed Mick Avory’s sound as well
Great video Terry! I'm glad your battery didn't die. Hope you had a great Easter have a great one
After all the stick spinning I tried to walk and chew gum, yeah I fell down. Oh and the drums sound so good right out of the box the stock heads are very nice.

Hi Adrian- there are different versions. The original ones from the 70s into the early 80s had great shells.
And thanks for the nice words!

Are you serious? Those toms, esp the floor tom, sound like hot garbage. Needs some tuning...
Yes, I am serious. Opinions vary and I respect yours.
@@garyfaul8754 fair enough. I expect they sound better in person vs a video, to be fair.
jove1155 I think they’re tuned like that on purpose, this kit sounds a lot like an old jazz kit from the 50s
That ride is very dark and mysterious for an old Paiste ! The kit’s really nice sounding, especially the kick , which has a super punch !
Great fun , as usual , TK , thanks 😃
That ride doesn’t sound half bad when mixed with the other drums and cymbals
Hey sounds killer!! So great to the excitement and passion from this young lad. Gets me worked up to rush home and jam!
