The structure of your videos are the standard I wish everyone would use when making combo videos. So much easier to follow and grasp how to build combos when presented in this way, super well done!
ive never played a streetfighter game before and im not too good at fighting games in general but im excited to learn this game. really enjoying it so far.
Thanks for Chun video Vesper, during the beta's I felt she was one of the characters I needed to get a lot better with. This one really helped me out a lot, I totally forgot about her stance and that I could use the lv1 in air.
This is great for newcomers and folks with the intent of learning Chun-Li, especially since you meet her pretty early on during World Tour Mode. Hopefully this inspires them to press on and experiment.

You need a basic understanding of frame data. If you turn on the frame bar in training mode you can see how + every attack is when it lands. I'll be doing a guide in the future but for now watching matches, trials & combo guides will give you a head start.

I'm stuck on teying to do HK, LP to D-U LK. I dont know it's possible to charge while doing a standing LP into a light spinning bird kick staright after. The best i can do I do a a serenity stream after the standing HK to make sense of the combo

@@CatraMVS I dunno if you're still having trouble, but you can charge during the heavy, and then do 'up' (it works for kikoken, too, so if you're charging back, you'd release back and press forward). During the neutral between you switching from down to up, or back to forward, you press the light punch, then press the up+k or f+p. So the command history would look like: HK, down, neutral, LP, up, LK.
how to connect 4 hp to 214 p jhk . like what is the timing when to cancel ?? i dont seem to get it consistently . is there any trick to to remember ????

Yo Vesper, I'm two weeks late but, can you explain the proper timing for Chun Li's air combo, the stomp stomp into two Hard Punch combos. I know pro players consistently land this but i have trouble timing every hit.
Make sure the first stomp is hit as early as possible, then you delay the second stomp slightly (just enough to see the opponent descend) and then follow up with consecutive HPs. You can also buffer a Lv1 on the way down.👍
Nor can I. Maybe just muscle memory to leave the stick spring back to neutral and then serenity. Half the time if I just concentrate on the inputs without looking at the game it works. But looking back up then messes me up

mostly classic, some normals are removed for modern to make room for the preset specials, making it a more limited control scheme. classics more challenging to learn but offers more freedom and creativity
Does anyone have tips for quickly cancelling a move into Serenity Stance? I have trouble with that in both the medium combos and the Intermediate trials on an arcade stick. Especially the 4HP XX Serenity Stance HK.
Just dont do it so fast. Practice with using the hp button to enter stance as i find that to be the best one. If u do heavy back punch then u have to wait like half a second to one second before inputting the stance. Then it works. If u do it too fast it doesnt come out. Just practice entering stance after back heavy punch or down heavy punch. Once u get that down it will become natural
Bro how do you XX (cancel) this game is so confusing on the fighting scheme 😂😂 I’m used to MK style controls, these buttons are mad confusing and overwhelming 😂 (new player to street fighter)
After you hit the F+HK punish counter, hold diagonal down. Then slide your direction back to hit the B+HP and then slam up and HK to get the SBK to come out. Since you are holding diagonal down your game is registering both down and back at the same time. The timing is a bit tight. No tricks, just timing and practice.
I cannot do the spinning bird kicks outta the stance why can anybody help? Everyone says you don't need to charge out of the stance but it doesn't work however I try it🤷🏼♂️
During Chun's stance, you have to input a normal attack like Lk and then quickly press down and up for the spinning bird kick. Personally I just input crouching LK into up Kick since it's faster for me.
Keep trying, if you’re new it takes some time to get down. A tip, the game only cares if somewhere in your input theres 2 quarter circles that does not mean you must do 2 quarter circles specifically. You can actually do 2 really fast full circles and still get the input which is much easier than trying to rock back and forth doing 2 quarter circles.

You charge during the HP animation, then do LP as you hit neutral during the down-up movement.

It's surprisingly hard. Canceling into stance from any other move is easy so I wasn't expecting that.

XX is just notation for canceling into a special move, not any button input
