    Not sure if Kubota still does this, but back when I worked at a dealer (12 years) we had a front loader that drifted down over night if left up off the ground. Bucket also tilted forward if left for 12-15 hours. Check the parts list, and find that the cylinders had no O-ring under the piston on the rod. Pulled the cylinders apart, and sure enough, the parts list is accurate. Put in a proper sized O-ring, reassembled cylinder, and problem fixed. I have an 8 year old BX that the back hoe and the outriggers drift down if left for a couple of days.
    I'd bet a good chunk of change that is why the log pulled that boom down so easily. It would also be interesting to know the weight rating on the boom.

    What bothers me is how the Kubota lifts then bypasses. Most equipment limits the pressure side, and the bypass should be x percent higher. That Kubota could get someone killed bypassing like it does in this video. Just imagine lowering a concrete pipe into a manned ditch when it bypasses. ( Understanding that laborers should not be under the load, but......)

    • @TheWallsocket
      @TheWallsocket 5 лет назад +1

      It only bypasses because he’s extending the stick forward, when lowering a concrete pipe you would be lowering it straight down so it wouldn’t bypass in that situation. Workers should never be under anything held up solely by hydraulics anyway, because a seal could burst at any time. Same reason you never go under a car held up by a hydraulic jack, you have to lower it onto solid jack stands first.

  • @HughzieTube
    @HughzieTube 5 лет назад +6

    It might have been the camera angle but the Kubota looked like it could lift off the side slightly further before the machine tipped.
    Looking at the angle between the boom and stick, the Deere couldn't get past 90 degrees before it tipped, the Kubota seemed to just pass the 90 before it went over.
    Would be good to see your new Yanmar against the Kubota.
