I was 20 years old when the original version from Alanis Morissette came out back in 1998. I remember it but I never really listened to it back then. This past year and a half I have really gotten into the band Riot big time. I found out a few months ago that Mark Reale had a side project with Tony Harnell and had to check it out. I got the live album Westworld Live In The Flesh and this song is on it. I admit that I loved it on my first listen. I immediately checked out Alanis Morissette's version and loved it big time as well. It is such a beautiful song!
I'm here because I recently discovered Riot and been digging deep!
@@OrangeDoc I hope that you have been enjoying Riot as much as I have been. I love all their albums, but my favorite era is the Tony Moore era. I love the albums Thundersteel and Immortal Soul big time. The rest of their catalog is also amazing.
The Swords and Tequila guy did this? I'll have to look into Riot and Mark Reale more then.

This is a cover of a cover that Matt Cardle sang.

@@JayDamaso78 Older was first though and with that being said, heard Tony's version before Cardle emulated Harnell's arrangement. So be it, Matt's vid is current, doesn't mean its his style...imo.

I hate when people change gender in lyrics of a cover to match their own. Sing the original lyrics. The lyrics have woman. If you identify as male, so what the lyric is woman. /rant
