Mr Gregory not only ARE you extremely funny But extremely Truthful. THE WORLD IS IN BAD NEED OF MANY MORE MR GREGORYS. God bless you SIR ALL the way from Australia cheers.
I love my grandfather and father. I miss them very much. My grandfather/ father has taught me a lot about life. I just wish they were here today. The history my grandfather passed on to me, never in a history book. Love you miss you. Thank you
Hi James Gregory, My wife and I and all our and friends love everything about you! We have have driven to a number of your shows in NC... YOU gave me MY one Minute of FAME!... For 12+ years my wife and I drove 2 hour round trip to work every day from Pungo Creek NC to Greenville NC, and EVERY morning we listened to John Boy and Billy... One morning, on the air, John Boy read a letter he had gotten from you. That letter was one you gave to John Boy; a letter I had written to you! John Boy even mentioned my name... I cannot tell you how proud that made us; to this day it was one of the high points of my life...and YES, you really are the funniest man in America; and also a wonderful person, and a wonderful patriot....
My father and I were bonded. He "bonded" me with the leather of his belt! We was WELL bonded....LOL. I loved my dad and a few years ago he passed...and I still love him. I expect Jesus is gonna be here very soon so I'm really looking forward to seeing my dad again. : )
When you learn and practiced honesty and integrity that is the highest education there is. And the best way to learn these things are is through our family experiences. The worst thing that has happened to America is the breakdown of the family structure.
I just want to say James Gregory Is one of the cleanest and funniest comedians I have ever heard! I am so blessed to have found him on Drybar Comedy. I am Black but I relate to what he says so much, and he is hilarious!!!!
Jerry Upp yes in public or wherever, gettin drug out by the arm in church only to have everybody hear the hollers outside the church house front doors 🤣🤣🤣.
I love this man. When ever I am feeling down I pop in one of his tapes, makes me laugh again. Yes, my dad and I bonded. Mostly with a belt across my butt. He is gone now but I still respect him for what he tried to teach me. Unfortunately he could have done it in different ways. Keep it up James, fan for life.
"My generation survived the great depression, won two world wars, and put a man on the moon. The only thing wrong my generation did was to spawn this generation. " ~ Abraham Simpson
Racism wasn't even a thing in my world. Listen to Morgan Freeman on this topic. In his gentle way, he said "stop talking about it". Fact check it all day long.
If a son called up his Daddy to get him out of jail and to retrieve Daddy's car Daddy would probably let his son stay in jail for a while or overnight and let the son think and imagine how mad Daddy would be when he got to the jail. Imagining your punishment is often times as bad or worse than the punishment itself. You feared your Daddy, but he was also the most loving, caring and loyal person in your life and you wanted to grow up to be just like your Daddy.
I don't know about y'all but he reminds me a lot of Jerry Clower little bit dirtier this kind of, do I need to hear it during this covid stuff get your mind off the bullshit
My father and many others he knew left high school to go fight in WW2 ……. Had their parents sign the paperwork to go fight for freedom ……. We need that mindset so badly today.
My daddy got happy with his belt multiple times. We never did bond but I never called him for help. Bless his damn heart. He's not living anymore. I have 0 good memories of my daddy, sad to say!
Melvin Nixon I am so sorry for this situation. I’m praying for you to have some good memories; if not of your daddy, then of someone who was a good fatherly example for you. God Bless you.
Integrity . A word not used much anymore. It seems a man's word isn't supposed to be taken for or said as the truth or held accountable as a reliable judge of a person's self respect and honor. Somehow from our grandparents time to present we lost the importance of this trait. ( wonder who's gonna fill his shoes?)
I love liatening to James & I understand what he means about the difference in kids behavior from past generation . Yet I have to say physical whipping of an offspring is not right & not needed .I never did with my kids .If kids know you truly love them , your disapointment of bad behavior goes a long way . There are other ways to punish bad behavior . No one of my generation that I grew up with ever did any shootings & we grew up with guns in the home .We never messed with nasty drugs either . Occasional alcohol caused enough trouble.
That's right, my generation and my two oldest children their children nowadays have the HUGE amount of disrespect and TOTAL LACK of manners and it feels like Jesus went out the window 💔🙏💔🌍💔🇺🇸💔📖💔
this man right here preaches some home truths.

Jerry Upp yes in public or wherever, gettin drug out by the arm in church only to have everybody hear the hollers outside the church house front doors 🤣🤣🤣.
Yep. Once I was kicking over paper lamps at the church parking lot. I got the belt right their at the church parking lot. I do the same with my kids.
I have been spanked at a family gathering on Christmas day!
Brilliant comedy. I got to know this man's comedy during my ten years in North Carolina's Appalachian region.
Master of everyman comedy.

The kids today couldn't pass the 6th grade test of our early 1900's grandparents.

My Dad was the crazy man chasing me across the back yard swinging a leather belt and yelling his head off. 😂😂

John w I’m almost 60 & I still cringe when I hear & see a belt lol
@@misslin1717 it's the sound they make when being pulled out of belt loops that always makes me cringe... Even if it's my own belt! 😁

James it was that generation that raised this generation that raised the current generation so they got some responsibility along in there somewhere

Too bad today's generations don't understand this.
