They did a really great job at pushing the turbografx-16 to it's limits. I am surprised there was no slowdown when a lot of sprites get on the screen. Must be the extra ram that helped.
My friend and I used to have Gate of Thunder shoot offs... who could beat the game without dying and get the highest score. Played this so much back in the day that I could of played Devil mode blindfolded! lol Ahhh, the memories.
+psychoticgiraffe Haha. If you think it's bad here, you should play it on the Wii Virtual Console. I think something is wrong with the emulation because the music is even quieter. It's nearly impossible to hear when a lot of stuff is going on.
If I didn't know any better id say this is an offspring or actually part of the Thunder spirits/force series. The game play is precisely the same as Thunder force.

Living Death this was made by ex-technosoft devs so this basically this IS a thunder force game
