Just fixing grammar. "But" is usually used for saying opposite thing ie. This is a great tutorial but I still can't make it. In your case, you would use "and" instead.

In the description it doesn't tell if you should use one or two sheets of pink paper. Also, does it matter what glue you use? Could I just use prit stick? Please get in touch with me, because i want to make these flowers tonight for mother's day. Thanks.

I use paper straws for the stem. They are much firmer. After that I cover the stem with green painters tape.
