I think a little bit of anticipation movement (movement slightly in the opposite way before the movement) would help make it a bit more dynamic. @ the creator: If you're able to bring up the animation graphs (it's been years since I touched Maya), you'll want to make sure your animation data looks like a series of waves, with the arcs from the curvature adding to the realism. Tom Tobey (an animator from DayBreak studios) might have some details on his site.
Wow! That was great! I liked that you stayed true to the original opening's use of mixed media. While I think Terry's animations could have been a bit snappier, your attention to detail in every shot and getting the overall vibe of the classic opening shines through regardless. I've been hoping for new Beyond media forever, and while the new comics are nice I'd love to have an Arkham style game for the Batman that I grew up with. Excellent work, I'm gonna show this to my friends.
Batman Beyond was such an incredible show. The fact that they needed a new Batman series to freshen up the caped crusader's animated adventures and settled on a dystopian cyberpunk style is, 20+ years later, still mind-blowing. The cyberpunk style fits the character of Batman, and the setting of Gotham City, like a glove, and yet to my knowledge this was the first time anyone had attempted it with the Batman property. I absolutely adored that show when it was on, and now that I'm an adult with a more developed sense of art appreciation, my respect for the series has only grown. The fact that the cartoon was the only major series to touch on the Beyond universe for so long was an absolute crime, but at the same time, not returning to it gave the cartoon an almost mythological status, an ephemeral blip on the decades-long world of Batman that results in Beyond sticking out in our memories almost like an exceptionally vivid fever dream. I'm pleased to see the slow return of Terry McGinnis to the DC universe and can't wait to see what more they have planned for him. I'm ranting like this because this video perfectly recaptures the excitement and awe I felt when I was a child watching the opening to each episode. This is how I saw the opening: not as a mere series of drawings and seemingly random (to my child mind) images, but rather as a promise of mystery, corruption, and darkness, themes well beyond my capability to understand at the time, that each episode would bring to me. I can't speak with authority on the animation quality in this video, but I want you to know this managed to evoke a very nostalgic, powerful response from me, and for that I think it's excellent.
Wow thank you so much! You perfectly articulated what makes Batman Beyond so awesome, and I'm glad it recaptured that excitement! I want to make the live action version of Beyond so badly
Pretty much what some others have stated, that it's clear animation is not your strong suit, but at least you know what you can improve upon. Some of the shots like the starting city felt they could of been more dynamic too. Overall it's an awesome, fun entertaining piece to share with Batman Beyond lovers! So thank you!
The bulk of that came out really well. There's some shots that really, really came out perfect, especially Bruce at the bat-computer. I've watched it about 10 times. It does look cool. There are a few areas I do think could be improved. Some of the animation felt slower than it should be. Some of that may be due to how the animation styles differ. The original 2D probably had fewer frames, more speed because of it. And Blender is inherently all the frames/all the tweens between the frames. The second area, I think you need more contrast in some shots, more darkness. Some of that too, is just a consequence of using a 3D app. Light and shadows are real here, where in the original, it was all drawn in and only lit upwhere the artist put the brighter colors.
This was SUPER well-made. If you're open to help with editing, I'd love to help with the Night-Club scene. It just needs some lighting and cutting to/from bits. I LOVE THIS. Batman Beyond Forever.
I would love to!! I just started a patreon that I’m going to have a bunch of tutorials and assets and things on, the dream would be if that could eventually fund some more cool stuff!
@AldenPeters1 Nice, looking forward to seeing them. I rewatched Batman Beyond last year and it still holds up really well. I'm still hoping we'll get a film adaptation at some point, I think it could work well in live action.
@@AldenPeters1 oh shoot, fr? Nonetheless, the animation is sick af. I really like how you gave the beyond suit some tactical look besides being a skin suit with bat ears, it's really grounded and gritty
The latest live action Batman could've been Batman forever. What's his name would've been a great fit for terry, and Ray Stevenson could've been old Bruce Wayne.
I BEEN PRAYING EVERY YEAR FOR SOMEONE TO PICK UP BATMAN BEYOND SINCE 2015 BUT ALL I GOT WAS BEN FUCKING AFFLECK AND ROB PETERSON. THEN IN THE FLASH I GET GEORGE CLOONY AND KEETON. ALL I WANT IS A TERRY STORY. SO BAD. THAT WOULD SAVE DC IN THE BEST WAY IF THEY MADE IT DARK. LIKE INVINCIBLE.
Some of the animation may be a little stiff, but on the whole this was awesome!
Thank you!! Character animation is definitely my weak spot!

This is literally perfect. Nostalgia be damned, this reminds me of how good we had it back in the day with shows. Damn.
Thank you so much!! 🙌

I'm surprised this series is still remembered. This video definitely deserves more attention! That was awesome

Thank you! I definitely noticed how different the speed was compared to the animation, definitely because of fewer frames I think
What a magnificent feeling of cyberpunk vibes
A dark, gritty, cyberpunk Batman in live action is what we need
This is a nice tribute nice work dude
This is awesome! Randomly found this well looking for a tutorial on creating a Batman model. You should try recreating the BTAS Intro.
ASÍ QUE ASÍ LUCE LA PERFECCIÓN
Thank you!!
Man this so good I forgot that its live action 💯 I'm sitting here waiting on the episode to start 🤦🏾♂️😁
So dope
Excellent!!
Great work
Very cool! Awesome job. 👏
Thank you!!

FUCKING amazing. 🤘🏽🙌🏽
Cool
Good work on this.

@@StarblazerTV Same! I just did a rewatch too which inspired me to make this
This is honestly sick, also is the music a remix of a Rob zombie song? It sounds hella familiar
It's the song from and animated intro!

We can’t see terry or Dana in person during this video unfortunately
This would play well on Max... I'd watch it...
Holy…
How did you end up making the batmobile? 3D model it?
I modeled them! They're available to download on my Patreon: www.patreon.com/aldenpeters
Very cool. I've modeled my own batmobile from the Batman beyond universe.
@@FletcherChiles oh awesome! Where can I check it out?
Impressive I just hope you don't get in trouble for using the music.
It's flagged, they allow for use on RUclips just can't monetize off of it. I checked well before doing this!!
