you should do a video where you read a book that begins with every letter in the alphabet, like a book beginning with A, the with B, etc, etc. Love your videos!
First of all, I just wanna say that you are the reason I have been getting back into reading, so thank you! Also the new cut is cute! Second- my favorite books this year have been I’m Glad My Mom Died (speaks for itself) and Eragon as well as the sequel Eldest by Christopher Paolini. I don’t read a ton of fantasy but I have been REALLY loving these books! I recommend if you haven’t read them already, they are really easy to read and I feel the pacing is perfect! Fun fact- Christopher Paolini wrote Eragon when he was 15 and published it when he was 16 or 17!
As a long life classic girly and romance girly I need you to read some Austen over spring, especially if you're getting into classics. Especially Persuasion and Mansfield park, but all of them are great, would highly recommend and love to hear your thoughts! Also, in my opinion classics written by women are typically the way to go, (though most of them are a good vibe)

The fact that I’ve read 8 books almost 9 this year and you’ve read 21 makes me feel pretty good actually for someone who never reads. Like that’s a big difference but it’s more than a third! Currently finishing Queen of Shadows
she definitely might find some suggestions from tik tok but knows she doesn’t like spicy books, so she doesn’t gravitate towards them. Haley seems to be good at finding books that cater towards her tastes 🥰

Watching Haley got me into reading, I really started right after exams like arond jan. 28th and have read 17 books so far and started getting in a slump. The video you posted on how to get out of a slump helped so much. I love the Improbable meet cute series she talked about!!
Hi Haley!!! I love your videos SO much!!! You're such a great person, and I feel like I can really relate to you! (I'm from Austin as well, and I'm a Christian! And a book girlie too 😜). I'm 14, and I've been looking for some fantasy/fiction books that don't have any spice/any language or anything. Got any suggestions? Thx! You're amazing girlypop!!! ♥️♥️♥️ (Would love suggestions from anyone ♥️)

I just finished A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman. It was the first book I’ve read by him, but I really enjoyed it and will definitely be reading more, including Beartown.
i have been in such a book slump for basically this whole year. But, I am about halfway through the cruel prince and I am loving it so much i cant wait to read the entire series. I love your videos so much and Have gotten back into reading from watching them and getting book suggestions. I have watched pretty much every one of your videos since 2020. and every time your post i put everything down and watch it❤❤
You should read A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman too!! Its like, you think you don't care much about the characters but then find yourself crying by the end of it and realize holy shit i actually really enjoyed this book
The thing that’s weird is I LOVED if only I had told her, and didn’t really like if he had been with me the first time I read it. I sobbed during if only I had told her and didn’t cry incessantly during if he had been with me
The great gatsby is an amazing classic honestly, I love Fitzgerald's writing. Two other authors I always recommend in terms of classics are Osamu Dazai (Author of no longer human and more) and Lovecraft.
hi Haley❤❤ Can u read you've reached sam by Dustin Thao? I would love to hear your review of it for you are my favorite book tuber. Take care always!!🫶❤️

I loved that book! It’s the perfect mix of cozy and whimsical with still some suspenseful moments with more action, and the writing is beautiful 🫶🏻 you’ll fall in love w the characters too!
I did noooooot like Wildfire. Even if it had less spice than Icebreaker (which I also did not read), it was still pretty spicy and had some rather gross stuff. I couldn't get 12% in.
Im so behind in my goodreads reading challenge which was 15 books. Had to change it to 12. Ive been picking up a lot of books that are out of my comfort zone in terms of genre and ive been in a slump where i cant seem to finish.
Hated Crescent City. Wish I could get my time back. And I say the same thing all the time. It doesn't feel like it was written by the same author. I won't pick up another one if she continues.
YAY HALEY POSTED! You should really read the Arc of Scythe trilogy by Neil Shusterman for a good five star read, its one of my favorites and the audiobooks are just awesome. HAPPY READING ❤
BOOK SUGGESTION: The raven cycle! it is a 4 book long series and I can’t even describe the plot of this book but it is fantasy in modern day with some witch stuff. It is amazing and keeps you guessing
Could I give a book recommendation? Ok! Here we go! The Orphan Queen and The mirror King by Jodi Meadows. Super underrated duology, it’s clean, fun fantasy with lots of plot twists and romance!
Book reccomendation here: The Baker's Man by Jennifer Moorman. It's about a young woman who ends up with her grandma's bakery and is given magic sugar and a recipe to build the perfect man.
Haley! A book that I highly recommend that is similar to The Cruel Prince is Renegades by Marissa Meyer! It is a YA book that has such a good enemies to lovers romance that I think you will really enjoy! I absolutely loved it and we have similar reading tastes so I'm sure you will love it too ❤❤

my favorite series that i read this year is the Shatter me series, no smut at all they just kinda mention that they’ve done the nasty. There is 3 different p.o.v but not always and in certain books but I think that’s why I loved it
THANK YOU!! You are the first person who has had the EXACT same experience/thoughts on the crescent city series!! The second book was soooo slow and the third one was so frustrating with all the POVs 😅
Haley, have you read the Westing Game by Ellen Raskin? I recently read it for school and now I’m re reading it. It’s a murder mystery about a guy who was murdered named Sam Westing. The book is super amazing and most of my classmates, most of them don’t read regularly or enjoy books, really liked it. It changes point of views multiple times a chapter but I think it works together well
Sarah J Maas stopped writing like THEE FRICKEN SARAH J MAAS since A Court of Silver Flames ( i could write an essay on how bad that book is). From that book onwards it’s been dumpster fire after dumpster fire and I feel like one of the problems is that she writes in 3rd person now and she makes sooo many POVs, it makes me disconnect from certain characters and plots because we’re jumping from one story to another. Like Tharion’s and Ithan’s plots and POVs? I could’ve lived without them honestly.
Have you or Ryan read unbroken? I just started reading it, and it’s sooo good. It’s about a runner where everyone thinks he’s going to break the four minute mile and then he goes to the Olympics in Germany but Hitler there so … 😅😰 It’s awesome

A fun selection of books, thanks for sharing your reactions. About the definition of paranormal romance vs fantasy romance: here is what author Jeffe Kenned has to say, which is really to the point. "What distinguishes FR from PNR is that, FR owes a great deal to epic or high fantasy - just with more romance. PNR arose solidly within romance, so the genre is essentially a love story with paranormal features - so with werewolves or vampires or magic users. But, while the world may be a magical one, the story is still primarily a romance. Conversely, FR follows an epic or high fantasy arc, with a Hero’s Journey (usually belonging to the heroine!) where there’s a quest and political ramifications."
I enjoy ooey gooey cheesy romance with witty banter and a big pet peeve (personal) is when they go overboard on the spice. I prefer no spice and even slow burn with the physical touches because I want to be invested in the story. One of my favorite things about the Pride and Prejudice movie was how they never kissed until the end, it felt more sweet and tender.

Conversely, FR follows an epic or high fantasy arc, with a Hero’s Journey (usually belonging to the heroine!) where there’s a quest and political ramifications."

I literally put down my homework just to watch this literally! And congratulations on 1M!!!❤
