I have dreamed of Disneyworld since i was 10 years old sadly i dont think i will ever get there. I live in Sweden. So its so great to join you on this trip 🙂

You never know! You absolutely could end up there! First of all sorry this might be a bit long but it’s something I love to share because it just is so surprising to me how it all happened. I strongly believe now as long as you have the belief something is possible, it’s entirely possible. And the things we dream of often happen for us in the weirdest of ways we least expect! Again sorry this will be a bit long lol. But for years, I swore I’d visit the set locations for The Walking Dead, and then more recently since it came out, the sets for Stranger Things, but deep down I didn’t really believe it. I’m really into these shows and movie/television production. These were hardcore DREAMS of mine. My agoraphobia and PTSD however kept me stuck in the house, and while I’d always say, “Someday I’ll go,” I just didn’t think it would ever actually happen. It felt impossible. But one of my biggest dreams in life was to visit Georgia and see the sets for The Walking Dead, and the town of Senoia where it’s largely filmed. Oddly enough, my second was to visit the smokey mountains in Tennessee, and see Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. In fact one year on the Fourth of July when the third season of Stranger Things came out I was sat at home, deep within the grasps of agoraphobia and really depressed because I wanted to visit the set locations so bad, but I couldn’t leave my house even to go to the doctor or visit a friend or go shopping. Which becomes ironic, later on.
Then, this June, everything just kind of lined up out of nowhere. I’d been going to therapy and DECIDED I’d go. I really would. Some day, maybe not soon but someday. Wrote it on my “I will do this” list. My family took a trip to Tennessee for my best friend/sister’s beauty pageant-normally those are ALWAYS in Florida, so we never ever had to leave the state for them, this was the first year they changed the location. Ironically my sister would have to drive to Florida where we live for these pageants, but we never had to leave for them because we lived in Florida. But this time it was in Gatlinburg, which was already a dream of mine to visit. A place I’d also written on my “I will visit” list, and for my future travel goals. After being cooped up for over a decade I’d dreamed of seeing the smokey mountains and the vast wilderness or Tennessee. That was already a weird coincidence enough that the first year I had overcome my agoraphobia enough to go, it was in a place I always wanted to visit! On the way home, we stopped in Atlanta and visited The Walking Dead and Stranger Things sets. Completely unplanned, we ended up in Jackson, GA-“Hawkins, Indiana”-on the Fourth of July…. It was crazy because a few years ago, I’d been sitting at home on the Fourth, watching Stranger Things, thinking how cool it’d be to visit the set locations, and how sad I was I’d never get the chance because of my agoraphobia, and I didn’t believe I’d ever go.
This whole thing made me realize how wild life can be. Once I finally let myself believe it was possible, everything just kind of fell into place in a way I never expected. You never know what can happen, keep dreaming, especially when the magic of Disney is involved lol, because life might surprise you. Maybe you’re meant to go and experience that one day with your own ten year old child in the future. Or perhaps your ten year old grandchild. Or maybe this time next year you’ll be there after a series of weird coincidence, like a family member moving to Florida, or business taking you to Florida, etc. Or any of the weird and wonderful possibilities life throws at us when we least expect it. I just hope you get to go!

My gosh Disney is magical at Christmastime. I miss it. I miss the whimsical nature of it. I know I’ve already mentioned this on another video but im decorating my house in Grinchmas this year. This video came me the idea of.. what if next year I went with “Disney World At Christmastime” themed?! Like the whimsical, cartoony but oddly also tasteful and elegant style. Ohhh, doing multiple trees in the house to represent each park! DIYing some of the most iconic decorations! And just filling the rest with Christmas Disney theme, ahh! I think that’s topping my list of ideas..

We just left Disney yesterday! So magical during Christmas...have fun!! Also, if you go to Epcot check out the figment food and wine merch. Especially the spirit jersey and bag. I was OBSESSED and feel like you would like it too!

I will be at Disney week of Jan 6th. Wonder if all Christmas decor will still be up.
It will be, at least for the first half of your trip. Might start coming down during the end. My birthday is Jan 13 so I have been there a bunch of times during that time period and there is usually still Christmas stuff up on my bday. (Much to my disgruntled self 🤣 but I am glad you'll get to see it.)
