- New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. and rapper Lil Wayne sit down with ESPN’s Josina Anderson for an in-depth conversation about all things football, music and lifestyle. The pair share their darkest moments of the past year and how they were able to pull through, including the guiding light of family and religion. OBJ and Lil Wayne go on to talk about the importance of embracing expectations rather than to fear them. In OBJ’s case, he says that one of the biggest keys missing from the Giants this season is his teammates’ energy on the field and the tendency to make football an individualized sport rather than a team sport. Now that’s how you conduct an interview, this was the art of journalism at its purest form. Very beautiful moment, I like how she controlled the temperature of the interview throughout and never let it get away from her, and I could tell that these two gentlemen were comfortable with her and the questions she asked. She wasn’t annoying or intrusive, her tone of voice was soothing and welcoming. Very, very professional and beautiful moment. Crazy how we first got the clips about Eli Manning and how ESPN took advantage of a vulnerable moment with Odell, trying to sensationalize the idea of him not being happy with the team when all they had to do was release the entire interview because it was great without the extra publicity stunts.
Two things.
Lil Wayne HAS to do radio or podcast or a daily vlog or something. When he really open he says the most inspirational, and honest things I've ever heard.
Secondly, I dont know who this interview lady is but she is great. Like GReat. Commanding but respectful . When she told them to close their eyes. Shes deep. Really like her.
