Those lyrics are powerful and speak volumes not only about the mental state of the individual shooter but also the shock and pain of his parents because no matter what, they lost their son and they probably had no idea what he was about to do that day.

I’ve listened to this song a few times, and I’ve read a few of the comments. I believe he is coming from the point of view of the deranged people that believe it’s ok to go in and shoot up a school, church or try to murder someone. To that extent, he does an absolutely amazing job at taking on the view of the people doing these terrible things. I wish there were more people willing to stand up to the people misusing guns for their own selfish and demented desires. I understand that some people come from terrible backgrounds, but that gives you no right to take someone else’s life. It sickens me that someone would murder someone else because of their own selfish desires. I truly do appreciate this song for how it flips the script from the norm. He comes at from the point of the evil person rather than the one trying to defeat the evil. It really makes you think.
