Good stuff, man! I liked the Dion choice. I once made my own list of these unique guests/temporal party members and while my brain was very busy thinking of Beatrix, I did forget about Seifer at all, that's a good call for many I'm sure.
I appreciate guest characters now. But as a kid, I always just took all their equipment off and ignored them. Even in Kingdom Hearts, I just kept Donald and Goofy.
My favorite true guest characters are definitely Leo from VI and Edea from VIII. But honestly, my heart will always belong to "party member Golbez" who appears at the end of IV, though only in story battles that you don't get to control.
Marcus really got up close and personal with that Supersoft :P. And yeh Geordie La Forge is a pretty close match. I liked Blank turning up to save the gang too, but wanted to stick to one entry per game :) - Jack

Yeh I would love to have seen Beatrix stay. I believe there are mods which let you bring her in the party though! :) - Jack

@EXP Required sephiroth is playable in vr mission called to be a hero legendary bout, this means you can go avout and again feel like a god
