It's not the final boss. The final boss was supposed to be Mario, and he would've had two phases.

Really cool remake of the Brutal Mario fight in all but I don't recall it being nearly as long to take down.
That's because it wasn't. The original fight takes about 7 or 8, or at least, the version I played back in 2015.

I think this one makes you rely on shadow clone + free WP use + atk for fast dispatch, I noticed the shadow clone wasn’t used as much, so the damage was lacking.
I gotta say, this has got to be the greatest Idea for an SMBX episode ever!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Now, to make a whole story an map full of levels out of this!

ugh...this boss from brutal mario.... it's a cool boss, but it's incredibly dragged out.
Carol gave it as munch HP in SkM than in the original game, that's way too munch.

It's not the original boss. There was another one before: Super Kitiku World.
And that other boss is even based of another game!
So let's just say that the ones that were on drugs were the developpers of that other game.
Also, this game is called "Romancing SaGa 2"
That means Square Enix was also on drugs when making Final Fantasy. No? -prove it- okay then.

Has anyone else been curious on just how much health this boss has? I know that for the time they're spawning, it's 6000 HP apiece, resetting each time a new Koopaling appears. However....the second half's health is what has me the most interested.
Legitimately way too much. Sadly I'm unable to tell this to ya because I'm legit unable to open that file in the editor so I can pinpoint their health exactly.
If it's just the same as Romancing SaGa 2's final boss, then the final phase gets... 65,000 HP, I think.
@@SolarMegaMan So that's 107,000 HP, when adding the rest of the Koopaling's hp amounts... That's almost 21 charges of Million Dollars... y e a h, this boss has WAY too much HP!
Washington Johnson Yeah, it’s indeed too much. You can get away with it in Romancing Saga 2 because you can boost your party’s stats and inflict around 9k damage with each party member (and you can have up to five members, though most of the time you would use some members for healing and boosts), but here you have only Mario and the damage he deals is quite low for the enemy he is targeting.
The boss should definitely have way less HP. Heck, even a quarter of the current total would still be too much.
It’s nice to homage a fangame, but not at the cost of making the fight tedious and overly long.
Hey, Nice video, As someone who played through RS2 and loved it i was ecstatic about finding out it has a tribute reference to it in a mario fan game, i downloaded the file from the forum you linked but i can't seem to figure out how to add it to the world list in-game to play it. If you aren't aware, the idea to insert this boss to Mario X was inspired by a kaizo Mario rom hack that did the same thing. i reckon the boss is from a snes rpg.
I reckon saying nothing about that hack being poorly made.
