- Travel goes through the stomach. In Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, we tried local street food and spoiled our stomachs. In Central Market and Russian Market we found delicious street food, had unexpected dessert on the street and had delicious Fish Amok.

You ate Noum Krok twice. The first one was in the market with sauce. That was savery. You ate the second time on the street called Noum Krok Phaem. Noum means cake. Krok is the name. Pha em means sweet. So you ate sweet noum krok. And don't forget. They offer you their home to keep yourself dry from the rain. That's one of Cambodian trait. You can do this every where. They even offer you a place to stay when you are stuck with no place to go. A lot of foreigners don't know that because they never experience it. You can find this every where. They sometimes even offer you something to drink or eat when you don't have any. Try it. You are probably not there any more. But try it next time especially in rural area.

No, we don‘t eat meat. Sara only eats sometimes fish. 🙂
I'm Cambodian and I just realized that nom kachhay actually is vegeterian ;-;.
We were searching like crazy for some vegetarian options. 😅
There is the fish sauce though. So technically it’s not somehow really vegetarian
