Yes we really got lucky there. Only chose to go on that day because of the weather, as the forecast was for rain the next day! We normally avoid visiting such places on a Sunday as they tend to be more crowded but made the right choice this time! 😊
@@FrugalTravellers Actually it's a very common activity. Summers are quite pleasant in Lithuania, lots of warm and sunny days. There are many lakes scattered around the country and people love to go to some lake on weekends.
That is so kind of you to say. 🙏👍 We love our travelling life and are grateful for every day that we spend on the road. Thank you for your lovely compliment. 🙏😍
Hahahha... I'm so pleased you caught that 😂 It's the closest we'll ever come to having a drone 🤣 Lee would love one, but it seems so complicated when we're travelling permanently. We'll just have to watch your gorgeous drone shots and try not to feel too envious 😀😁
It has to be the best time to go. The water temperature is great so take your swimming gear, and maybe buy some food for a picnic by the lake as well! 🏖️
So glad to see you had some nice weather etc. Chillin' and a maxin' on a sunny afternoon indeedy. In the big hall was quite surprised to see Mandy there hehe, was almost like a..well fancy seeing you here moment! And not a single solitary rickety wheelie trolley in sight (phew..) all good so thanks for sharing : )
Haha... We do wander off from each other a lot but always manage to stumble across each other eventually! I think Mandy likes to seek some peace and quiet occasionally! 😆
Always nice to watch, you do make it look easy however it does indeed take time/patience to edit etc..and all in your own time which is just as important. Keep cool and keep on smiling. Nazdrowie hehe ;-)
FYI The trains are usually cheaper than buses in Lithuania because they are subsidized by the state. They don't run as often and don't have that many destinations though.
Bars/resturants to visit once you arrive in Tallin Olde hansa - incredible medevil bar/resturant with a great old Viking vibe . live themic music . Iii draakon- small Viking theme bar in the old townsquare , gets very busy , offer 2 types of beer but awesome. Absolute must see . Labour baar - test tube coctails like a lab of drinks they do a good happy hour. Theres quite a few iconic bars in tallin , theres one which you need to quote a password , its upstairs somewhere but its not amazing but youll probably hear a lot of recommendations for it Theres also a bar synced to a hostel called red emporer which is decent for cheaper options. I wouldn’t say I found tallin great for museums. There is the KGB museum which is ok. Theres also a London dungeons style museum in the old town , history of tallin , with a decent gift shop afterwards - this was quite enjoyable but not cheap and very generic , touristy- its more like a ride. Guys youll find your way and were all here watching and enjoying your videos with you
@D.o.c McSHUFFLEs Thank you for sharing these recommendations... even if we don't go to these places, your suggestions will be great for others planning their trip to Tallin! 😀😁 So far we've had some tasty picnics with Specials stickers from the supermarket... we need to get out there and try some of the local eateries! Today will be our 3rd day wandering round the Old Town, then we're heading to Kalamaja to have a look around. It was pouring with rain yesterday but today looks gorgeous, so we're looking forward to exploring 😁Thank you for your positivity and kind words - it's always so lovely to hear from you!
at last sunday of the month it is free at all museums in Lithuania
That is something we discovered by accident... and it was the perfect day to go to Trakai 😀
Very useful info! Thanks!!!
Cool video! Glad you made it inside, especially as it was free!
Thanks. It's definitely worth a look inside. Last Sunday of the month is free day! 😁😁😁
Nice that you scored the free entry to the castle.

Great day and castle looks impressive.😊
It's a great place to visit and perfect on a summer's day when you can get in the water! 😊
This sad nice, thanks for showing us around this castle.
Cool place to visit if you ever get the chance! 👍
Such a lovely place, wish i went there in summer =)
It had a real summer holiday vibe. So many locals splashing around in their swim gear. I can't imagine it happens too often!

Great spot! It’s so peaceful around the lake. Too bad about Lee’s finger. Ouch!
Yes, a really lovely spot for a picnic on a warm day! Just a deep one inch cut that is healing quite well, thanks. 😊
Sweet drone footage 🤣

..Bet the drone wasn't used upon opening a nice cold tinny later on!

@Ed Ek Also, I'm the one (Mandy here) who likes videoing everything... much to my dismay when I fill a 32GB SD card in 3 weeks 😂

That's great to know. Thank you. We'll be returning after Latvia so will try to take some across the country.
Booked a flight to Vilnius in January what would you recommend to do and see for a young travel couple 😊
Obviously the first thing to do is watch all our Vilnius videos 😁😃
Definitely visit Uzupis, climb Gediminas Hill and wander through the Old Town.
January is a horrible time to visit...
Please consider to Visit Estonia also...
Guess where we are right now? Tallin video coming soon. 😁
