Wow, this is the first time I've seen or heard of savate. Nobody can beat this guy because his legs are so long that you can't get more than four feet away from him before he kicks you. Very impressive.

Salut ! Pourquoi perds ton ton temps à répondre aux rageux ? 90% des personnes qui critiquent ne sont jamais montés sur un ring, la plupart ne connaissent même pas la BF. Laisse tomber. Madani est un grand champion, qu'on aime ou pas la BF, on ne peut qu'être en admiration devant sa boxe.

Non, ça ne manque absolument pas de puissance, même si on devine à certaine prise que ce n'est pas le premier round.
Il y a toute la dynamique du corps qui fait qu'un fouetté ou un chassé est redoutable.
Pour la pratiquer (pas à haut niveau), je peux t'assurer qu'un petit coup bien placé peut vraiment t'handicaper et donc donner le dessus à l'autre.

You rarely ever see a knock out with Savate is it more art than martial, the sport seems to be a watered down version of actual Savate.
No ! It's extremely martial but the "tireurs" have an incredible defense/stamina and of course tolerance. Don't forget, Boxe fighting is focus on the head, not savate.
there are still traditional savate ,you dont see knockout because bout fighters know how to avoid being hit and get k.o but i use to train savate and i get knock twice in sparring and got a displaced rib too, got whit a turning side kick kkkk
Slight addendum, boxing in it's original form focused largely on soft tissue targets, so more the face then the head. Also savate was (and still is) a serious martial art, I remember reading somewhere that the french used to harden the leather on the toes of their shoes so that they could kick harder.
I think the sport reflects the culture and focuses on the beauty of the art, the actual martial art is very deadly, for sure, I think the sport training does not focus on a warrior mentality like some Asian martial arts. Leading up to higher levels it is pretty much frowned upon to try and hurt your opponent, points and artistic finesse is highly stressed. They are highly trained and exceptional athletes. I think the fighter are way more skilled than Muay Thai fighters but Muay Thai fighter are like cock fighters and mentality wise are much more steeped in a warrior culture. Fighter reflect their culture to some extent, as is often seen in more international sports like boxing. Countries that are more reflective have a more cautious style, there are Mexican style fighters, British style fighters, American style fighters and European styles that all contrast what they bring to the same sport.
that s no true, its in your actual culture that martial arts are so overestimate probably because of the movies , in the western and orient martial arts always have being considered sport ,workout and game , not self defense or a warrior thing to learn to use in real battle, and so that's true that in the begging the karate and kung fu masters can not understand why westerns want to use their arts to actually fight . muay thai its a folkloric and a national sport no one in Indochina think that is a warrior by training it that is your western romantic view of it, in fact in Indochina are other far more destructive modality s than muay thai

mec, tu pense que ça vaut le coup de s'entrainer comme un fou comme lui, et de mettre KO l'adversaire au premier round, j'pense que si le mec en face il ne tombe pas, c'est surtout que amri prend un plaisir a aller jusqu'a la fin d'un combat.
KERUNONE Les KO sont rares en savate (à ce niveau) et Amri est un grand technicien et pas forcement un kicker. Mais il gagne son premier champ. du monde sur TKO. :)

Pues sí, muy hábil el tipo pero nada de poder en sus técnicas, no puedo ver ni uno solo de sus golpes o muy bellas patadas que ponga mal a sus oponentes en este video. No critico al savate, pero coincido con varias opiniones en que este peleador parece hacer solo light contact.

@vvenrooij, you say bad things on Savate and you know nothing about it. K-1 is a famous organisation but it doesn't mean that there are the best fighter... Personally, I'm much more impressed by Ramon Dekkers than k-1 fighters.
