I rarely put a greeting on a card. But I do create an extra amount of water coloured background papers of the same composition as my card and put all of the pieces in an envelope where I store the card. That way I’m ready to stamp a greeting if I want it later.
Thank you for taking time to make and sharing this lovely video, it looks like a fun project to try, I hope I will achieve the effects you have shown too.🙏
Cathy Z praised your channel on her live today, and since I use watercolor often while making cards, I’ve enjoyed watching a couple of your videos. You now have a new enthusiastic subscriber. 🦋
Debbie I just love both versions of your slimline cards. The colours are so soft. I don't put sentiments on my cards unless I feel it really needs one. It often takes away from the beautifully created background that you so lovingly created. tfs.Kathy from Sydney Australia ❤️
Lovely, loose, and dreamy, Debby - just the way I like it! I agree about the sentiment - one never knows, the recipient might want to frame that! I would! xx
I had to go check out her post, I can see how you were inspired by her card, they are all stunning! I loved all of them. Colors, technique, and composition! I need to sit down and craft!
I am amazed. Your cards are just lovely. Will try your technique, crossing my fingers. I do own this stamp set, but have not used. Guess I've been intimidated. But what gorgeous cards!
These cards are beautiful with the water color stamping. I need to loosen up with applying water. I’m so afraid I’ll mess it up. But as I looked over your project and Stacy’s I’m encouraged to try again, well and again!
Love both of your watercolour cards!! Thanks so much for the tutorial! I also love that card of Stacy’s and you have now given me the impetus to have a go at this technique myself.
Such gorgeous cards Debby, love your loose water color style! I visited Stacy's blog and was amazed and inspired. Thanks for sharing your beautiful card and letting us know about Stacy.
Such a great inspirational technique ! Thank You for sharing. I often do not put sentiments on the front of even inside the cards I make. Many are pretty generic, enough so that birthday, thank you or get well greetings fit. If it's a specific stamp (balloons, birthday cake, band aides) I would attach a greeting at the time they are made. I find this gives me a lot more choices when occasions come up. BTW LOVE the grey surface you were working on...soapstone? and a big HELLO from Texas USA, and my pack of 10 Scottish Terriers.
Stunning! I must give this loose look watercolouring a go!! Love to watch you create! Thanks for the link. I'll head over to check it out! Stay safe! :)
Wonderful color combination and both look so beautiful with all those splattery parts.
Your cards are little masterpieces and suitable for framing.
So gorgeous - but your projects always are. Thanks for sharing.
This is so soft and dreamy Debby. I just love watching you create. 🤗🇨🇦🤗
