India's T20 World Cup winners returned home to a heroes' welcome, greeted by huge crowds of euphoric fans and praised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Evening saw the team paraded in an open-topped bus through the financial capital Mumbai, along a seafront route thronging with jubilant crowds. They took a victory lap in front of thousands more fans at Wankhede Stadium, the site of India's last World Cup win. Palki Sharma tells you why this win means so much for India.

I think that the indian team was stuck in Barbados due to the hurricane in the west indies. We were happy to have the indian team played at the national providence stadium in guyana.
