"Getting a vehicle that fits their needs rather than having their needs fit their vehicle." - Kyle Connor THAT ladies and gentlemen is a PERFECT explanation as to why luxury, exotic, dream cars (or anything) exist and selling well! Whether it's cars or Dreams coming true, that's the choice: Get a bigger "vehicle" for the Dream(s) or shrink the Dream(s) to the "vehicle." (Like a gold fish)
They’ve cleared up their module production issues and lots of their software bugs as well. They will likely have a very healthy 2024 for ultium vehicles.
I look forward to you guys giving more accurate coverage of GM EVs and a fyi there engineers and exes do go on podcast like autoline so that is a possibility.
The ICE Escalade has an ATP of 110,000 dollars. This will start at 130k and probably top out in the 175k range & the wealthy and famous are going to eat them up. There’s no other EV with the size and road presence of this new electric caddy. Also the wheel base is longer than the Cadillac ESV/suburban but its overall vehicle length sits in between the standard wheel base Escalade and the ESV. The wheels are pushed out much further to give it a long hood and a better stance.
I was blown away when I did the walk through the Escalade iq at the Chicago Auto Show! It's so much space so much screen! I just wish it wasn't starting at 130k
The more the American manufacturers bring their EVs to the market, the less hope I have for their defence against the Chinese onslaught. It will be left to Tesla to fight the battle in the affordable EV realm.
Wow, was just about to enter that raffle when I noticed I can't enter from my state...might want to let folks know who live in one of the four lame states that can't join the raffle...
@@mariusmeyer14 probably yes from a shareholder perspective, I’d like to see a Tesla suv off the cybertruck and a Tesla mid size truck off the Y. Tesla would sell more mid size trucks than model 3.
I'm sure they will make 300-500 units and will have to immediately do a stop sale for issues with software or lack of batteries. GM is in big trouble for 2024..
Kyle I'm disappointed with your exuberant enthusiasm for "bad for the environment" EVs. Try not to miss the whole point. Otherwise, love your and Frankie's stuff, watch and listen to it all! (Bolt and R1s owner).
...and that my friend is PERFECT for you! Big 'Ol SUVs aren't your flavor, and that's ok. No one's going to force 200K(US) in your bank account for you to buy one cash.
You guys sure do get emotional over one man's opinion. It's not like I'm writing legislation or something. Just tired of being trapped behind SUVs that cant handle the curves on my main highway, but who will gladly sit in the passing lane so no one can pass them.
We need to have a EV for the working big families. I need 8 seats and not more than my house. I don’t care about the size but need all 8. All the “affordable” ones are 7 passengers.

I remember pre covid the auto show was the "nation's largest" and still in both halves. Sad how small it's gotten.
I was told by one of the reps at the show that the IQ on display had a total cost of more than $4 Million 👀
Who do I make the check out to for it? 😭
The Lyric launch was a dud. I dont see this being any different, although I want it to be.
They will be EXTREMELY rare to see. Not many people will spend nearly 200 grand on this thing.
Remember that Kyle mentioned that was top spec at $175k. I could see an entry price happening at $140k. @@Charlesbjtown
Certainly not many Lyriq’s on the road. Piling up At dealerships.
@@CharlesbjtownGM said its price will be about 130k for this first edition. A more expensive version might be In the works though.
It's going to be a Crazy Vehicle!! I also can't wait for the Vistiq.
If you consider how many lies and broken promises GM has made, chances of this vehicle being produced this summer are almost zero.
Until you compare it to Tesla. Did you forget that we basically shut down the world for 2 years?

How does the new Tesla LR now get and EPA of 341 miles of range? What changed?

So Lucid Gravity, Mercedes EQS SUV , BMW iX competition. Great podcast keep up with great work 😊❤
Lol! As Lucid dubs it, "dumb range", "low tech" for having that massive 230kW battery 😂
Scrub forward to 4:30 for the meat of the report!
I am just waiting to trade my Escalade in on this when it comes out.
Awesome new logo’s
Epic!
With the disaster that Ultium has been who would spend $175k on anything from GM right now?

And Rivian. And Lucid.
@@RealElectech they will have to ramp up. Lusid will have to bring something more mainstream to the market. Rivian is on the right path with the R2

What’s is Tesla answer to the Escalade IQ?
They do not need an answer to the Escalade. Mass market is the answer.
A van would be a more practical and efficient solution.

NACS in 2025 is a broken promise. We won't actually SEE it in non-tesla vehicles until 2026.

I’m tired of these huge suvs. Buy a minivan.

So you think that no one should have a choice in what to buy with their money. You think that we all should be driving the same vehicle.
I’m tired of people complaining about other people’s preferences.
