Yeah doesn't Robin always have a great theme no matter what the message is worked out with himself and his lyricist and his musicians to get the vibe across to The Listener

That was my first impression too. Very smoky, sultry and understated. I really enjoyed it!
That's the second track that someone has compared to a James Bond theme. This song would really fit a Bond film.

There's a southern term for that. It's called "he is a sleeper" it is actually a racing term. Meaning he's got the goods he's got the stuff he doesn't have to be flashy and just gets that stuff done, because it's his passion

I've enjoyed this pairing very much. Not just anyone can have their singing fit with Robin, yet he always seems to have wonderful vocalists working with him. From Dewar, Bronze, Bruce, Pattison forward. Thanks so very much. From the Rockies.
Bronze, I'm not familiar with him? Was he the one sharing vocals with Dewar on Back it up?
@@douglaschristine8387 Dave Bronze played bass and sang on Beyond The Mist live parts and then just bass for a couple more albums
@@markbirchette8740 thanks, then that makes sense because I don't know that album either. For a lot of years I was working my butt off and didn't have much time left for anything. Peace and I'll check it out.

Hi Robin!! Long Time, no see! I saw your band in the Palace Theater, Waterbury, CT sometime around 1980. One of the best concerts I have ever seen!
This one has a Bond theme vibe to me... hmmmm...
That voice he has on the guitar is mesmerising.i know it's a sort of vibrato/tremolo effect of which I have one or two but he's got it nailed.
She reminds me of Sade. Good stuff. I've got all his best albums so must give the new one a 👂

It's growing on me the more I get used to this tone of the guitar. And the more I hear the guitar clearer I'm able to hear the vocals clearer.

I saw Robin Trower live twice my very first concert I went to in Redding California and 78 then I saw him again in Chico California in the late 90s he put in a great show

For some reason I can hear Cities In Dust by Siouxsie And The Banshees in this. Thumbs up.
This album restores my hope for modern music. No nasally girls or nutless boys, no computer music, nothing derivative or "sampled". Just real heartfelt music.

Pretty blase for sure. Nothing of the man's past other than nonsense in terms of muslc. Everyone has the time in their life when there blessed with whatever music, baseball, anything. There are certainly some decent moments on this record but overall pretty weak
