yeah he works real hard but only because he got a goal he wants to achive. office work may not be the most physical hard work, but its really mentaly draining so you are doing hard work aswell. its your decision if you want to have the safty of a office job where you are unhappy but have stabel income or take the risk and work even harder for the first years without any pay and maybe work in your dream envirement. eitherway is fine so dont talk down on the work you are doing, eventhough it might seem that your work is nothing compared to others.

Well there's the argument that office work and especially anything creative is more draining mentally than physical labour.
The guy is constantly on the move so he's likely getting that "feel good"-dopamine some people get from working out.
It's involved, definitely not monotonous and it's clearly rewarding for him.

He has to do it? Says who?! You don't know this man's skill set, and maybe he wants to do it this way because he loves doing it. Without knowing the man, you can't know.
Does he even have a family of his own or is he single? We don't know.
If something happens to him his family doesn't have any respect for him? Are you part of his family? How do you know?
He doesn't benefit from working like this? Depends on what you are looking for in life, and without knowing his story you won't know the benefits he seeks to get from doing this.
That's what I mean with it's full of assumptions on your behalve. 🤷‍♂
