Excellent episode, thank you!!💕
Terrific story, fantastic cast right down to guy in the car wash, John Harmon. Film Noir in the sunshine. And Nancy Kovack as the girlfriend! I immediately clicked when I saw she was in it! This is a keeper. Thank you!
Happy that you liked it!
I 'm looking forward to watching more of these Chrysler Theater shows that you've posted. Thanks again!

Jeffrey Hunter and Sally Kellerman are good in this. Thanks you.
Filmed at San Fernando Mission. Jeff Hunter was great in this role. Sadly he would die in May of 1969 from a head injury from a fall.
@12:35 "I must confess", the Father is fine! 😄 Actor Carlos Rivas was also in The King & I, The Deerslayer, True Grit, Topaz, & other movies & tv shows from 1955-1993. Born Oscar Weber to a German father & Mexican mother, in 1925, in El Paso, TX, 6'2 Rivas was discovered in a bar in Mexico. He died in L.A., of prostate cancer in 2003.
Very well-told story with great character development, but SO sad.
Jeffrey Hunter’s portrayal of Jesus in the classic ‘King of Kings’ is still one of the most phenomenal performances of all time. Anyone who’s not seen it, don’t live another day ‘til you have - your life will be the better for it.
Interesting bit of trivia here for Trek fans..Jeff Hunter starred as Captain Pike in the very first pilot show of Star Trek tv series aired later that same year(1964)..but it didn't quite sell the show..the next year Sally Kellerman would star In a rare second chance pilot show for Star Trek..that one sold the series.!
They wanted Hunter in the Star Trek role but his wife was his manager then and she requested too much money for him. . . the studio declined.
One of the rare times seeing Darren McGavin in something of a family role...4:00-Maybe the first time his character had a son named Ralphie?
This marks the 60th anniversary of the Universal Studios tour...
His very last act on earth may just get him to the Pearly Gates. Then they can discuss it there😊 I enjoyed the movie. Thanks for the upload.
Glad that you enjoyed.
Nice show. Respectfull crook .
gavin...just approx 7 yrs before he was the cop with Jerry Lewis' the Delicate Delinquent and then in 74? Kolchak: the night Stalker. 👍 LOL
…… and Jeffrey Hunter before he was ‘Jesus’.
@@EdelweisSusie This TV show was after “King of Kings”, which aired in 1961.
@Sfinthecity==If the HOLLYWOOD casting offices would have continued with the RELIGIOUS FILMS tru the 1960s JEFFREY HUNTER who allways seems cast in ""religious "" type roles could have been ""up there"" with CHARLTON HESTON who was allways cast as a religious type figure!!!
🔥🎞👍
What I find disconcerting is that even when a woman is a nun she could allow her sexual interest dissuade her from the truth.
@itsgleneaton4883: It takes a certain naïveté or inexperience w/life, to be surprised/"
disconcerted" that everyone has their human foibles, temptations, & weaknesses. We all have egos, after all! The nun is an optimist, wants to blv the best abt everybody; the cop deals w/the worst of humanity, daily, & knows that not everyone is self-aware enough to do the hard work of finding integrity. @35:00, wishful thinking, vs. seeing reality. Liberal thinking vs. conservative.
Why do you assume sexual interest? She was charmed and may have felt a connection , but her mission-minded instinct to bring a stranger back to the church was primary. I think you’re projecting male sensibilities onto the sister. Even the girlfriend who was sexually involved was pushing him toward redemption. If not to God or the Church, toward an honest living, putting crime behind them.
