I've had Silent Alarm on repeat for weeks now, the album came out when I was about 15/16. It's because of the Silent Alarm album I started listening to different math rock playlists which I would highly recommend to anyone who likes Silent Alarm and Bloc Party in general.

"Blue" is a great song. It keeps everything about the sound of Bloc that was great, vocals, angular drums, melodic lead guitar, flowing bass line, intricate lyrics while offering something fresh at the same time.

Well made song. Wish the chords where more interesting sounding to my ear like in Blue light. The introduction of each instrument was fine I'd hope for something more dramatic a tone shift or something. The elevated energy section where the drums keep up the snares was neat but didn't quite transform the music in a way that I personally appreciate.
The vocals were nice and soft I love 'em.

Random question, did they produce this themselves to save cash? The mx sounds almost empty but the song sounds like it should be massive! I bet this song is completely different and 100x fiercer live. Reminds me of early Biffy like Glitter and Trauma, great track but live it's just something else.
