Yet tax officials chase the little people and throw them in jail and or fine them simply because they can’t afford good lawyers. It’s disgusting.
Everyone, regardless of wealth, should be held accountable to all laws. Rich people simply have the means to hire expensive lawyers to protect themselves. I'm not happy about it either when the rich get away with it.

I'm from Pakistan and our ex prime minister's name was in the panama papers, he was convicted in that case and had to leave office and was to be imprisoned for 10 years but he left the Country for health issues lol.

The UK media has been utterly disappointing and silent on this issue since it dropped. A friend of mine works within our taxation organisation HMRC and told me that staff are being actively told not to read or watch anything regarding the Pandora papers, it absolutely stinks

BUT I wonder why there’s no law that must be applicable to all countries. This is interesting because Malta and Cyprus issues a Golden Passport citizenship scheme. This was reported by BBC and AJ investigative report. So wealthy nationals can take dual nationality?

The US thrived economically when the marginal tax rate was at 90% for the wealthiest Americans, but okay.
The guy who coined the term “Laffer curve” is also responsible for developing the strategy which has led to our downfall as a nation over the last four decades.
Ever since we’ve implemented the Two Santa Claus Theory, the US has declined in happiness, quality of life, socioeconomic mobility, government debt (overall, per capita, and relative to GDP), median income, transportation infrastructure, utilities infrastructure, etc.

It’s the typical case of - Do as I say but not as I do. The little people pay their taxes to meet their civic duties, but the rich and the powerful hid their wealth wherever they can.
Canada Revenue Agency fined me for not reporting 5000 dollars I earned because the employer argued that I was self-employed. Always going after the little guy.

Why are tax havens legal but the time I had a part time job and didn't claim $300 I got audited and have been paying the IRS ever since?

When I watch the full episode, I guess you will develop a list of suggested solutions on how to recover lost tax revenues, so we can have them pay fair share of costs to maintain and improve quality of lives We have old, falling down healthcare, infrastructure, policies that need to be funded

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say this is all true. I wonder how many American politicians are M on that list.
We all knew, but now theres proof, I'm sure it's all "legal" but ethically their reputations are now decimated, any still "serving" should resign or give up their positions. That includes royalty, as this shows that they can never be trusted to do what is right for their "subjects".

That has already been covered, specifically in the IRS Files investigation by Propublica, which showed how Bezos, among other billionaires, avoided income tax.
