In Germany they teach english already at the primary school. Kids around 8-9 age get the first steps of english until to the end of school time.

As a Cameroonian who studied and lives in Germany, I would tell you Thomas Müller is the normal German guy. You will meet many cool guys like him randomly. Also, it's not abnormal for Germans to speak good English. But it is still great for many people because he played in Germany most of his career. But people do travel on their free time right??

He was a highly effective player in his peak but talent wise he wasn't incredible. He is like the German David Beckham, a limited player who maxed his talent to be world class for a period, but there were more talented players of his era. You start comparing him to players of his generation like Iniesta, Modric, Messi, Gerrard and you realise he wasn't as talented.

I have seen Muller play for many years and he is not impressive. Most of the time he is just waiting inside the penalty area to score tap ins. A great poacher but nothing more. He can’t drive the play. Poor dribbler and lacking in technique, plus his passing and distribution skills are average at best. No where near the player Messi is despite all his silverware.

Here in Germany, Netherlands, Belgium (Flanders the northern part)etc... we all learn English at school
In Flanders we start learning English at around the age of 13 we learn French (language spoken in the southern part of Belgium ) from the age of 10 and German from the age of 15/16
Germans really aren't good at English, hence why you dub every English cartoon and tv-show. In Denmark we also learn German in school but we still suck at it.

@PraefixX In my experience, Germans are better at English than the French and the Italians, but not better than the smaller countries where it's more of a necessity to learn English. Compared to Scandinavia where our language is only spoken by less than 10 million, obviously we're gonna be better at English than the Germans.
