He's doing such a great job in This Is Us... one of the most beautiful show I've ever seen!
I'm so #TeamJess that even though I want Rory to be with him I also feel like she doesn't deserve him at all
cleo pd Okay please explain. I'm trying so hard to see why everyone is always team jess though he treated her like trash when they were together. And the first time he told her he loved her he said it as he walked away and left town. Again. Then the next time he shows up he goes to Yale to look for her to convince her to run away with him, telling her she can count on him but not having any sort of plan. THEN he comes back some time even later to catch up and yells at her for dropping out of Yale even though he had asked her to do that very same thing when he wanted her to leave with him. The only time he got it together was when he worked at the publishing company. But by then, so much time had passed of course it was too late and she was in love with someone else. I'm really trying to understand why everyone is for Jess though he didn't seem like a fit so please give me your best reasons why and perhaps other reasons you've heard others say also 'cause I still don't get it.
(If it's because he was smart and liked to read, Logan was also very well read and matched her witty banter so that's out. Besides that I don't see any redeeming qualities in Jess)
And yes, I love Milo. The character Jess I am having a harder time embracing like everyone else does. Perhaps because everyone loves a bad boy but what else could he have offered Rory?
Rory loved Jess for a reason even if you didn't see it during season 2 and 3.
Jess loved Rory too, but he was too cold and angry to have anyone in his life. That's why he ended up alone at the end season 4, he had no Luke or Rory. So he focus on getting himself together, I mean Jess had to hit rock bottom before he realize he needed to do something with himself and he did, in S6 Rory was proud of him when he wrote a book because she always believed him.
Fans root for Jess for different reasons, but mainly because he was a fucked up character, who had a bad relationship with his mother who didn't want him and he struggled, so many people doubted him except Rory and Luke. Some fans don't care for Logan cuz he's a rich white boy, that doesn't appeal to everyone especially these days. Characters like Jess still do.
Anyways I think many of us wanna see Jess get a second chance and if it works out then yay if it doesn't then at least we know it's not meant to be. Dean got his second chance with Rory so did Logan, Jess never did, that's why it keeps getting brought up.

I’m Team Jess too-always and forever! But I take some issue with the whole ‘he’s too good for Rory now’ argument and the reason for that is I think it’s too Rory-centric and focuses too much on her flaws/bad decisions and perceived unworthiness as a result of those while ignoring Jess and what he actually wants Jess clearly doesn’t think he is too good for Rory and is equally clearly still in love with her.
I like how Milo keeps it 100%. None of that passive aggressive Anglo ('polite') mannerisms.
I love that scene and me being an African American woman it touched my heart so much it shows it isn’t about color it’s about connection and how you connect with someone. I felt that scene and I didn’t see a white man raising a black son I saw a father connecting on a very emotional level to his son and dude you nailed it. When you become a dad if you are anything like your character your son will be so lucky.

Episode where Jack dies made me cry episode where Jack is in that kitchen and you see the fire starting made me cry and when William dies I also cried this is 3 out of the total 5 times I have cried for any show or movie the other ones being Justin's last scene in "13 reasons why" and just the sad scene of up... I barely cry even when my dad died at age 18 of cancer I cried only 3 times and sometimes you feel guilty for not crying enough I guess but this guy... Jack made so many good stuff related to my own dad come up etc ... Incredible actor that to be honest deserves a f'ing oskar.

His last name actually comes from a very old city in Liguria, Italy (close to the border with France). But "venti" means twenty and "miglia" means miles, I guess there are Italian jokes that can be done about it.
