Tbh I think this game is a bit overrated because the first 80 minutes were quite boring. Argentina dominated and then France scored 2 goals in 2 minutes

I saw 10 world cups in my life and no this is not the top world cup , one of the greatest but there are 2-3 world Cup finals played in other ways and the two teams reach the finals without nobody thinking it was corrupted. Here the final 2022 was great but seeing Argentina reaching the finals the way they did nope ! Not so welcome . Other teams did much better than that and it's not because is MESSI ...wrong thinking if some people see's that way ! Last 2 world cups of Argentina wasn't clean 😎🤷

The roller coaster of emotion. And a goalkeeping mind game master piece by Emiliano Martinez. This game had it all. Glad I watched it live with friends. By the end of the match we were exhausted.

Greatest sporting event ever. Im from usa im not even a big soccer fan but that wasnjust spectacular.
As an argentinian this match was brutal. So many emotions. When Martinez saved that last ball my heart skipped a couple of beats and then the penalties... I celebrated like a maniac and then I just had to take like a 20 minute break before going out to celebrate on the street because the stress of the match was so much I was completely burnt out.

It’s definitely the best final that I’ve seen, and I’ve seen them all since 1974. ‘54 final seems amazing too but I believe this one was the best. All those goals, pk drama, Mbappe vs Messi, that mind boggling save in injury time. It had it all.

It was the greatest World Cup Final of all time and I feel very blessed to have witnessed it.......but we shouldn't be surprised these two giants produced that classic, because they did the same in Russia four years earlier when France won 4-3 in Rd2. That was also the best game of that World Cup too.
This final is the ideal final. Every final should look up to it.
It had all the interesting aspects of football; suspense, comebacks, name it all.
I recall that period I had exam the next day. I skipped reading to watch it and I didn't regret😂 😂😂
The last 20 minutes and the 30 minutes of extra time was incomparable as it lifted sport into another level where we witnessed everything.

It is hard being from Argentina to tell if it was the best or not. We were 2 up with 15 mins left and suddenly tied, then scored again in extra time, and again tied....and that last play that saved Martinez would have meant to loose the game. I think that is what made it epic. Argentina had to win the game three times to become the champion and was one foot (Martinez`) away from loosing it. That and the penalty saved makes him the most important player that made the real difference

Just like in 2006 when Italy won, Buffon made the differences. He made epic saves that could've cost the game if he didn't, all the way to the penalties against France. Buffon was MVP. I'd say even before Cannavaro and Pirlo.
