I don't think this is fair actually, there were few reveals at first but the third season clarified a lot, I feel we understood a huge part of what's happening and their situation and how this city came to be etc... We know more than we don't at this point

I tell people all the time that it's like a mystery version of Walking dead... The way everyone got heavily invested in TWD and the characters, it's the same with this show.

Everything was real, and then they live in the purgatory with lives different from the real world. It turns out that the island is the center of good and evil in the world, and the nature of the matter was not explained realistically, as if the ending was illogical. What else is there that I did not understand exactly?

At first i was annoyed nothing gets answered, but then as I’m drawn into it its actually perfect, its like we are in the town too and in the dark with the citizens with no idea wtf is happening. And the fact we’re trying to piece the answers together just like the citizens is actually genius from the writers. Its actually a masterpiece of a show for that reason
