I loved this movie just as much as the Matt Damon ones. Always loved seeing the expansion and to have a new character in this universe as it’s very interesting. Hope we get another Aaron Cross movie!
The attention to detail in SFX in this film is amazing. Watch from 2:09 at missile impact and hut exploding. You see Renner blown backwards, and the shock wave behind him, and then you see that shock wave continue along the slope of the hills in the distance.
I enjoyed _The Bourne Legacy,_ and felt that Aaron Cross's plight had far more emotional heft than Jason Bourne's predicament -- Bourne only wanted to know who he was, Cross could literally remember being mentally handicapped, and was doomed to permanently return to that state. Can you imagine that? The horror of it?

Every backpack in every movie ever: slung over the shoulder and full but somehow clearly filled with a pillow. As a man who’s hiked 5,500 miles on long distance trails, I see these things.
I know what you mean about the back pack in the movie I see things in movies that are so stupid that I can’t even watch them anymore. For example, the last top gun, the pilots had to fly in the valley through the mountains to avoid being shot down by those missiles the bombs that went ahead of the pilots to blow up the air port runway had no problem, even though they were up high , how stupid
Never understood why everybody hated this movie so much. It's a good action movie, with fast pace and proper suspense. Also, it _is_ a Bourne movie: the way the story throws you in the middle of some action, the way the main character handles every situation trying to get out, the way he "works the time" in every fight scene, outpacing the opponents -- all very Bourne-like. On the contrary, the last Bourne movie with Matt Damon sucked tons. It was a nonsense melodrama, with no suspense, and with a random and fake background story.
Best movie of the whole franchise because of the sophistication of the agency's methods spearheaded by the tyrannical Rick Byer, countered by the brilliance of the lone wolf agent who evades & beats them at their own game with a series of inventive moves staying one step ahead throughout - and of course, he gets the girl at the end.
Would have loved to have seen another movie with Jeremy Renner as the Bourne Legacy. Sadly, I think that boat has sailed. Too bad it would have been great. Not to say Matt Damon did a fine job with final Jason Bourne final movie. They should have worked together in a final final movie.
