Good job on the video. It's done very well.
That’s not what I’ve heard. I was told you shouldn’t wash them like this until you’re planning to use them, because they go off much quicker once they are washed like this since all the protective chemicals are washed off

At least where I live there is nothing wrong with this. They’re part of a plant. Plants have bugs and dirt and bacteria. We have been eating berries for millennia without disinfecting them chemically. Whilst disease and infection killed many people in the past, I don’t think it was from bacteria or mould on strawberries. If you eat frozen berries, your biggest risk is probably contracting hepatitis A from those. It has happened a few times due to poor hygiene in processing. But this is an extremely small risk and hepatitis is serious but very treatable. Also, there is a growing consensus that we have become too clean in certain parts of the world. Obviously, good hand hygiene and infection control are super important. But does our fruit need to be chemically soaked? Do our floors need to be disinfected? Does the air we breath and water we drink need to be filtered? The rise in allergies, autoimmune disease and antibiotic resistant bugs are real cause for concern. Is it really better to be eating mould free berries if you’ve got nut allergies, eczema, asthma and if you do scrape your knee or contract pneumonia you’re less likely to survive infections?
Thank you for those valuable tips. For people who pick or grow their own berries, we know the love and time that goes into cleaning them especially if we plan on freezing for later use. 🎉
