    I remember the first year when China started building High Speed Railways, the western media claimed no Chinese could afford to buy the tickets. Oh dear, how wrong they are.

    • @FahimMahbub89

      Western media couldn't think that a country can provide services to its people without thinking about profits first. The Chinese government gives big subsidies to the HSR so that citizens can buy tickets at a lower price. This kind of concept is totally unknown in Capitalist West.

    When I was at Morgan Stanley, the server rack costed 8000 usd. It was custom made with Morgan Stanley deep blue color. When I went China to build Data Centers, I used 2000 RMB server racks
    20 years later, they both are still standing but once cost less than $300. The lesson of the story is that people in China don't waste resources they only care about efficacy and efficiency.

    It looks like there's one train riding forward and back on top of the main one... dang! I guess it's bringing up a load of concrete sleepers to put on the conveyor. There's a lot happening here. The track seems to be held down with springs on to rubber pads? All welded rails with field joints every ?? five hundred meters?? Should be a smooth ride! I've been on trains here where it was hard to drink the nice train coffee because the whole machine was shaking so hard. It was hard to read or write... it seemed like the car was going to fall apart! This was in the Carolinas, going south to Florida. I learned a lot from this video. They are laying track about at walking speed! They seem so organized and smooth with it, I don't know why they would ever stop! Unless they run out of steel and concrete? Or just finally decide there are enough roads, rail lines, and gigantic bridges? Well, there's always the belt-and-road countries... SOMEBODY needs railroads, right? I think they can keep going forever like this... presently they're in Africa, just making a Pan-African transport infrastructure, in exchange for palm oil and raw materials, I don't know. I'm just making stuff up! But can you really HAVE too much infrastructure?

    • @NeilZhu
      @NeilZhu 6 лет назад

      this is 2km per day

    • @pearlyhumbucker9065
      @pearlyhumbucker9065 6 лет назад +2

      As a rule of thumb one can say, such machines make about 250 meters per hour, which translates to around 2 km in an 8 hour shift. But one can not just extrapolate that to 24 hours, because one shift will be needed to change the sleeper cars - the time for this, of course, depends on the distance to the next escape point and how many sleepers the train can take.
      However, the number of sleepers to be carried is also limited - the more sleepers you take with you, the more the gantry cranes have to travel, and you run the risk of not having enough transport capacity when they come close to the end of the long sleeper train.
      Not least, of course, a prerequisite is that everything runs smoothly and without interruption.
      Neither may twisted sleepers occur on the belt, nor can there be difficulties with joining the raisl or problems with the distance positioning by the sleeper positioner and so on......

    This is the reason why you can stand a coin up right, every thing track and rail crossmember are 100% plum or horizontal and vertical level. And track are perfect space apart also. Only a machine can do this perfect. That the reason why our Honolulu 22 miles is taking a month a block. Everything has to to be hand check and level and tight down and check again. If it’s not level or sank it has to redone. Can’t beat a tune machine it’s ferfect to the mm.

      I think what you're talking about is a separate operation, with its own big machines! I've seen footage of this, it's bolting everything down and ? compacting the bed with big vibrators, things that look like air-chisels, "pavement breakers" that vibrate between the sleepers. Maybe four or five on each side. They are attached to the side of a special car, and stab down into the gravel between the sleepers.

    • @leonardpearlman4017
      @leonardpearlman4017 4 года назад +1

      I think in other situations they do this. Really high speed rail construction seems to be "ballast-less", where the rail is bolted to huge slabs of concrete. They are discussing this in the video! At 5:40. He's saying that the ballast is cheaper, easier to maintain, carries higher load. I think the hard style track can be more accurate and allows higher speed. It might be that the track is more important than the train! If they do as you ask, the whole construction would have to be that accurate, and STAY that accurate.

Take time and educate yourself, stop being a hater, you think only the west has brain power, China has being a builder long before America ever existed. Do you know when the great wall of China was built, that was more than 10 centuries before America was founded.

      Where else have you seen this technology if not China. The machine is built in China, this is the reason it takes California 20 years to build a 100 kilometre of rail track. Take time and educate yourself, stop being a hater, you think only the west has brain power, China has being a builder long before America ever existed. Do you know when the great wall of China was built, that was more than 10 centuries before America was founded. Expand your knowledge by watching all the Chinese RUclips videos on China construction.

      Oddity Weng
