Your vlog really threw me for a loop. It wasn't clear whether l should take you seriously or not. I guess we have different senses of humor. I wish l had your space to live in let alone decorate for Christmas! But comparison is always the robber of joy. Gratitude is really the only "attitude" we should have. I'm telling myself this while sitting in the living room of our trailer home with no central heating but enjoying the heat from the rocket stove that my husband built and we are able to heat the entire house with $10 worth of scrap wood from a cabinet shop that fills a truck bed. Both my husband and l are about 3 thousand miles from each side of our families and really have nobody but ourselves to spend it with so l understand the longing to be near family around Christmas. Make new traditions with just you and your hubby. I have thoroughly enjoyed the vlogs that share unique Christmas ideas and family traditions. Happy holidays you 3.

Thank you for saying out loud, what so many women are thinking. It's easy to feel inadequate. I was thinking for 1 min about drying oranges, but rather eat them, and the color does not go well in my house. I tied branches after the storm together with some pine cones and hung it on our fence. And I decorate my tree with glass birds and old ornaments. Very minimalist decorations and I love it that way. I am not very practical but instead like cooking and baking for a few friends coming to my house. I also have become a minimalist who I watch on U tube. So no homemade wreaths or orange strings at me house. I' ll put some green branches and holly from the yard around the table when people come over. You are definitely far from a Grinch. @Frenchcountryfriends get a small Christmas tree in a pot, it can be put in the ground in future years, and some lights added to have a nice view out your window. (Away from the house thou.)

I also agree. I luv decorating with pumpkins and mums for Halloween and thanksgiving but some of the Christmas videos are too over the top and can make you feel inadequate. That’s why I luv your videos. You make the mundane beautiful. I could live in your potting shed.

I hate Christmas! And don’t participate at all. I have shoe box of simple white ceramic or metal vintage Christmas decorations that I hang on a stick if I’m inspired. It would be 5 years since I’ve opened it. The food is horrible. Tinsel is tacky. Green and red should never be seen together. But most of all the single use items for one day does my head in. Simple warm white lights outside in natural year round trees is about all I see beauty in.
There are these solar lights in the shape of large alliums that I dream of having! I’d have them out all year long. I tired to convincing Justin of a stick tree one year, I’m glad he didn’t agree. 🤣
Yes every man or should I say woman & her dog is putting out vlogs on “How to” for either Christmas or everyday of your life. But just let’s face it, like you they are also trying to make some money. It’s not like you are not. So if you are overwhelmed then don’t try to watch other people’s vlogs. But please don’t complain that there are too many vlogs out there. Everyone should have a chance of making some money if they can. Why should it be only you?
