CAL STATE FULLERTON DORM TOUR & DORM STYLE 2019 // CSUF 2019

- See what the California State University of Fullerton's Residence Halls and dorm rooms look like as my roommate (@trulyisabela) and I (@christineesyy) give a room tour of how we chose to aesthetically design our room while saving money by shopping at stores such as Dollar Tree, Ross, Marshalls, Target, Home Goods, Hobby Lobby, World Market, IKEA, and Amazon!
-As a student currently living in the resident halls, here are some answers to some FAQ:

HOW MANY DORM BUILDINGS ARE THERE? There are five dorm buildings:
(From closest to campus to the farthest)
➞ Pine
➞ Juniper
➞ Holly
➞ Fig
➞ Elm*

HOW MANY FLOORS ARE IN EACH BUILDING?
There are five floors in each building, however, only some buildings allow residents to stay on the first floor

WHAT TYPES OF BEDROOMS ARE THERE?
There are doubles and triples.
⇛
IS THE FLOOR CO-ED?
Many floors are co-ed, however, each hallway is designated to one gender.

HOW ARE THE BATHROOMS?
The bathrooms are communal bathrooms, which means they are shared by typically members of your hallway. There are two sinks, two stalls, and two showers (one small and one large). Most of the time having a lot of people in the bathroom is never an issue, typically there would be one to two people sharing at the same time. They are also kept quite clean!

HOW DO I LAUNDRY?
There is a laundry room on the first floor of Juniper. Residents would typically carry their laundry and would have to pay $1.50 for washer cycles and $1 for dryer cycles.

FOOD…?
We have three sources of food in the Residence Halls which is
➞ The Gastronome:
Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Buffet style all you can eat meals. Closes early, however.
➞ The Market:
Open all day, closes late nights. Open to snacks, milkshakes, ice cream, microwavable food, etc.
➞ The Late Night Cafe:
Open when the Gastronome closes. Has midnight cravings such as chicken tenders, burgers, fries, etc.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET TO CLASS?
Depending on where you live and how far the class is, it takes about 5 to 10 minutes to walk from the dorms to the main campus.
-Dorming Advice and Hacks:
➞ FOOD:
Bring tupperware or ziploc baggies to the Gastronome to pack food to-go if you are in the rush to class, or if you want to keep food in your dorm.
➞ LAUNDRY:
Get a roller laundry basket or a dolly to carry your laundry.
➞ PRINTING:
There is free printing in the ARC located across Elm. Go there instead of going to the library.
➞ FRIDGE AND MICROWAVE:
Purchase your own microwave and fridge rather than the one provided for rent* by the school. It is much cheaper and you get to keep your own fridge and microwave after dorming.
➞ STORAGE:
Buy storage boxes, shoe racks, or box cubbies to store extra essentials and wardrobe. You can put this under your bed, on top of the closet shelf, or below the closet shelf for extra storage.
➞ DESK ORGANIZATION:
The desks do not come with dividers, and it could become cluttered. Get dividers or holders to organize your desk.
➞ AIR CONDITIONING:
There is a little air conditioning monitor on the side of the room. It is sensitive to air, so in order to turn it on, you blow on it. (Trust me, this hack works.)
I wanted to create this video for quite a while in order to help potential CSUF students look into attending this school.
I remember struggling to look for videos about my potential school as a senior, and I am hoping that this video would be able to give tips about dorming at CSUF, dorm room design inspiration, or encouragement to attend Cal State Fullerton. Enjoy watching!

I'm going through dorm videos cause this covid quarantine got me bored bored and its funny how there's so many people at csuf who are amateur vloggers doing dorm tours while if you look for csula dorm stuff there is literally nothing except videos from the school

we did! they typically make an instagram page or facebook dedicated to the future upcoming CSUF first year students, and i met her through there!
How much does a dorm room cost?

Did you guys choose to have a two person dorm? Isn’t the three person most common ? And what year are you guys !
majority of the halls here at CSUF are two people dorms, but at the end of each hall is a three person dorm! we’re first years.
Can I bring my PC to the dorms or wut?
