Talladega was always fun at the track. The sound of that gen of cars was awsome to behold. Thanks for all these old races.

This was the wildest photo finish since Tim Richmond beat Rudd and Bodine at Pocono in 1986.

1:28:54 The big one. Happened when 2 cars spun out and behind them. Mike Dillon blew a tire and spun in front of the other pack. Collecting 22 cars in the process

Lot of respect for Joe not to run Terry up the track

But that's racing. That what makes nascar. Terry would've handled it and probably still won.

Texas had tied for the 2nd closest finish in xfinity series history guess which race also had equaled the 2nd closest finish in that series history this one.

    1:28:54 A 2 car wreck turns into a 22 car Big One.

A more accurate count is 28, but due to it not being officially stated, NASCAR lists it at 22 cars involved.

@@wolfywise You actually counted that many cars?

A one car wreck, the cars are separated, then becomes a two car wreck, then becomes a 20-car wreck anyway.

The race that got me into NASCAR full time, it wasn't a cup race it was this race, and also proved why Talladega is my favorite track, A photo finish, and of course a 23 car huge pile up and yes ABC did say it was 21 in it, But I did see one more car spinning, and it was Tony Roper, he and Glenn Allen were both in the accident as well. the 23 car crash in this race tied at the time the largest NASCAR now Xfinity Series formally Busch Series biggest crash in there series history 23. Of course it was shattered 3 years later when 32 cars were apart of the Big one in 2002.

i was there that weekend (it was my 9th birthday, dad drove me all the way from dallas to there) and i can remember alot of talk about how alot of the pontiac drivers were changing to chevy's, and all the fords were switching either to the old thunderbird model, or to chevy for that weekend (teams did not get alot of manufacturer support back then, so it wasnt that big of a deal to switch around from time to time)
