    Thanks for this. I just got this product yesterday & tried following the instructions given. Needless to say I had to pull it all out when I got back home. But it was still great not having my dentures being so loose. And waiting for a realignment for over a month so… Also it’s cool seeing someone around my age.

    You can also get the Cushion Grip out by soaking dentures in hot, not boiling water. That can warp dentures. Also, I use hot water, from the tap and a pair of tweezers to pull the Cushion Grip out. I also use my thumb nail to push it up so I can grip it and pull it off. Hopefully, this helps someone.

    The more you have to add on dentures it’s so much easier to get out I take my cushion grip off when it starts to lift off the dentures themselves!! I noticed a lot of people are trying to take it off too soon! I start to peel mine off after I wore them all day,but I wait for the cushion grip to start to lift on its own!!

    To help people out, I use manicure scissors to cut the excess off. I even leave a bit of overlap for comfort as my dentures are so old they have rough spots on them. I don't trim them right away except for too much overlap. What I did learn is about putting my dentures in cold water and not to soak them overnight. So that is something. Thank you.

    Thanks for the video! It makes me feel so much better seeing someone roughly my age! My oral surgeon messed up my lower gums BAD and my immediate dentures don't fit or create any seal on the bottom and literally have a gap between denture and from gum so I'm praying this works! Adhesive glue doesn't work cuz of it I think so I get adhesive all over my lips and tongue after about an hr than there's no adhesive left and I'm stuck with these things cutting my gums up. 😢 If this don't work, idk what to do.

      Cushion grip has no taste. You may be thinking of the soft reline material. Because cushion grip doesn't have a taste or tingly feeling once applied. It's a thermoplastic, unlike a soft reline which uses chemicals. Cushion grip has no chemicals like the relines do. Hope this helps

Do you find that you still need adhesive after? Thank you for posting this. I had the worst denture fit until I began using Cushion Grip, but still need adhesive after the application.

    So cushion grip is not a temporary adhesive it's like a permanent adhesive that you can mold to your dentures that makes them fit better and molds to your mouth without having to use denture glue? But then you need a tool to take it out if you want to redo it like within a month?

    • @Rusticshot84
      @Rusticshot84  10 месяцев назад

      It's A temporary thermoplastic liner that lasts around 2-4 weeks. To make your dentures fit better and provide a more comfortable fit. Definitely not permanent

    Great video. Thank you. I love this cushion grip. What I really can’t wrap my head around is the fact that my dentist says do not use any adhesive, the more you go without, the more your denture will fit properly. I was going to the dentist once a week just so she could adjust. It was beginning to be an insanity, doing the same thing over and over, and getting the same results.
    I found this stuff a month ago, until I watched the video, I realized what I was doing wrong! I do have one question, I have completed my upper, after I get it fitted and trimmed. As the day goes on, the stuff continues to thin out by pushing itself out . I will take trim off more excess. Is this right? Should I leave it out for awhile after I do last fit and trim?

    • @Rusticshot84
      @Rusticshot84  2 года назад +6

      Cushion grip does thin out over time. What I do, is once I apply it I leave it out over night so it can harden a little. I take my Denture tray and put very little water in it and let it sit over night. (Dont submerge) The longer you give it time without biting down with it in your mouth, the better the form stays. Atleast that's what I've noticed. When I do use this product, I do it at night so I can give it time to "cure" more if you will. Hope this helps

      It's just a thermoplastic material, and won't damage your set. Use hot water, maybe not boiling and you must make sure the dentures aren't cold when doing so. Otherwise they could crack. If you replace the cushion grip every 4 days, it isn't too difficult to remove. Any longer than that, it becomes increasingly more difficult to remove as it sets even further onto the set. Hope this helps

      Ken Toller, I have to use PoliGrip on my lower denture only. I buy the one that comes in the tan and white box and is from Ireland. It has no Zinc and hardly any taste. Trial and error will teach you how much you need to put in. I put dots in the front then the sides. Then I use a plastic floss holder that has a point on it and smooth it from the front to one side then from the front to the other side. That way, I get a full seal.

    • @Rusticshot84
      @Rusticshot84  4 года назад +3

      To answer all your comments. What I do, is make sure when I put them in to not bite down excessively in order to keep the material from extruding outside the denture. After I put it in cold water for 15 min, I put them in my mouth for a few hours, making sure not to bit down over and over again. Then I take my denture tray, add a teaspoon of water and place them in it overnight, making sure not to soak the cushion grip in the process. The amount of product comes with trial and error, but once you find the amount that works for you, it becomes better and better :)

    • @Rusticshot84
      @Rusticshot84  3 года назад +1

      When trimming the cushion grip, the key is to get it to the point where no product is over the edges of the denture. You want to use something sharp for an accurate edge cut, but don't cut into the dentures while doing so. It does take some practice. Just remember cushion grip is a temporary liner, used for about a week at a time until you can get either a soft reline or hard reline done

    I'm having problems with it sticking all over........either the ends or sides. I leave it in for 2-3 hours, but every time I touch it to trim, it loosens then won't stick

      You have to put them back in your mouth and then it will stick back on dentures.. or use warm water to soften the cushion grip I usually use fingernails when dentures are in my mouth and pull the extra off while in my mouth!! It’s a learning process, you can still add more to areas that needs more cushion grip!! If the cushion grip starts to peel off on its own and become discolored it needs to be removed and reapplied. :)

    Hey Primal Light, I am an Oral Surgeon in Dallas, TX. Sorry for asking here, but I would like to offer you and your subs Full-Arch Bridges to replace your loose dentures. Not that your dentures are “loose” but that is what we call conventional standard dentures that are not anchored with implants, like our grandmothers wore. We have a process that is far better than the implant denture mills we all have heard of. You may be able to get back on You Tube.

    Do you prefer reline-it or cushion grip?🤔

    • @Rusticshot84
      @Rusticshot84  2 года назад +1

      I prefer reline-it for longer soft reline situations, and cushion grip for whenever necessary to fill the gap. Once reline-it is fully set, cushion grip may be used as a filler to tighten up even more if necessary. Just be careful, leaving reline-it on your Denture too long (more than a month) will make it very difficult to remove and reapply. Cushion grip same thing (6 days max) or it becomes difficult to remove. Hope this helps. Both items can be purchased online from Amazon and or Walmart
