People tend to forget...your house your rules. Your country, your customs, not every country has the same child raising customs. Even here in the US there are many different ways people raise their children, some good, some not so good. Personally I think you are doing a great job with the boys. I can tell that much of the time Dung seems to be shouting he is actually asking for things. He still a baby and learning to talk. Biggest problem is people don't speak your language and therefore don't understand what he is trying to say. Sending blessings from the USA ❤

Hola ly que bonito video está muy lindo el paisaje,y muy hermoso los niños ,solo un comentario ya no consientas mucho al pequeño se está portando muy llorón y berrinchudo ,te manotea además no quiere estar sentado y ni jugar solo te ve y cuando estás cerca quiere que lo estés cargando, y nomás llora un poquito y corres a levantarlo ,no lo mal acostumbres dejalo que llore un poco le ayudará a tener unos buenos pulmones y déjalo sentado para que se acostumbre y empiece a gatear el solo tiene que tomar iniciativa porque si lo acostumbras mucho a cargarlo eso no le ayuda es mejor sentado para que se amacize más ,en vez de hacerle un bien le hace mal que lo acostumbres en los brazos,así como dung juega muy bien solo y se cae y se levanta y eso le ayuda a madurar más y fortalecer sus huesos pero el pequeño lo estss mimando mucho ,y hasta en la comida sientalo ,no lo cargues para que se ponga mas fuerte sus huesos. Con mucho respeto te lo digo es solo una opinión.

Because she is not feeding the boys the foods they want to see her feed to them. She is sticking to her traditions and customs that have been around for centuries when feeding them. Most mothers especially the single mothers who just struggle to survive cannot afford baby food it's very expensive over there so they breastfeed and supplement with rice porridge and rice mixed with fruits, veggies and meats. She also gives the kids different fruits, veggies and meats aside from the rice and porridge. They eat treats at the market etc. They are eating. They are fine. They are love and well cared for. I absolutely agree with your comment.

I like her & the boys. I understand it's her custom, and she shouldn't change. She could also cut small pieces of soft fruit, veggies, meat, even egg in the rice porridge to make it taste better & more nutritional. They might get a treat at the market & I'm glad she can afford to let them get a treat, but it's nothing nutritional. The baby boy is anemic where is the cereal with folic acid and the vitamins she's supposed to give him? I forgot this is only an hour video what goes on the other 23 hours nobody knows.😊
@@geribennett1690 The baby gets nothing with nutrition and he has to eat because he's so hungry by the time they get home, poor child still has no formula or milk! Her son gets a very good meal when she nurses him so that's why she doesn't make him sit and eat the food. Her son has a terrible cough and she still has them drinking water from the same cup. Her son has a very nice big cup but she only gives them water out of the baby's cup.

Actually they eat fruits and vegetables all the time, just not every meal. Ngoan feeds these kids a good diet, it's just not shown every time.
Откуда ж Вы знаете. Нам показывают малюсенькую часть , а что происходит за кадром мы не знаем. Детки худым и заморенными не выглядят. Значит получаю питание сполна. Питаются так, как заведено в их стране.
Мамочка ты очень хорошая. Но детям нужны овощи, фрукты, яйца. Яйца добавляй в рис, раздави хорошо какой нибудь овощ, например огурец как кашицу или ещё какие нибудь мягкие овощи. Также сделай из фруктов пюре и младшему давай , у него нет зубов, да и старшему можно, например банан,другой раз другой фрукт. Также мясо но не кусками, а мелко поруби в рис. Детям очень нужны витамины.

He reminds me of a baby who was born early and they are slow at doing things and it takes a lot of them time putting on weight but he is not disabled as she had him at the doctor and she is putting something in his food and giving him other stuff to try and make him eat
I think she is trying to make him move about and do more for himself and she lays down with him to get him to sleep
He is only eight months about and she tried to get him to feed from the breast but he would not do it and is not very good at drinking milk he likes water
And it is usually the younger boy who gets seen to first and the older boy is normal waiting
The younger boy can cry and make a lot of noise if he wants something but it seems that a lot of people only see the older boy do these things
I wonder what the younger boy will be like when he is sixteen months they are both still babies

@@romasimpson3064Ly took the baby boy Dau to the Dr several months ago they did an ultrasound and X-rays, but we don't know what the Dr told her. The pharmacist recommended cereal with folic acid and give him vitamins. She did this in the beginning, but haven't seen her feed him the cereal or give vitamins in a while. Maybe she does it off camera. Ly stated to me that Dau doesn't like milk in a bottle now. If she'd put it in his sippy cup he might drink it? I tell you people talk about Dung screaming and crying all the time, but they say nothing about Dau. You stated you wonder what he'll be like at 16 months. Well Dau the baby boy does a lot of hollering and crying now just as much as Dung if not more. So I'd rather not think about how he'll be at 16 months.😊

@@angelajones9621I respect your opinion and maybe your right, but I also see that he's spoiled and every time she pays attention to Dung he starts hollering and crying (with no tears), she picks him up and he shuts up. He cried most of the time at the market because he was sleepy, it didn't take long for him to fall asleep once she put him on her back. They get sleepy and that's the only place for them to sleep at the noisy market. I feel sorry for, but for them to be so young out in the heat while she's harvesting, then the market all day is a long hot day for all 3 of them. The boys are good considering there age and all they go through in a day.

I have to say those chickens were definitely loud and I truly never heard that many at once before. I love when Dung leans on you at the market and just observes all that you are doing and taking it all in. You did the right thing when you scolded Dung for taking Dau's toy. I know it's hard being both mother and father to your boys and it's a delicate balance but he needed the reprimand and your stern voice with the gentle tap let him know you were not playing. The same thing at meal time when you wanted him to get off of the table and were stern with him tapping his bottom when he still didn't listen. I think it hurts us more as parents when we have to reprimand our children than it does the kids. We feel it deep in our hearts but it has to be done from time to time so be diligent and repetitive when necessary and just know it's all part of being a good mother to your boys. Dau seems to be eating better each day with your gentle guidance and love motivating him and encouraging him along the way. When you were washing Dung's hair and he looked up at you and laughed I just wanted to kiss those precious little cheeks of his! You really are a hard working woman and I am in awe sometimes of not only your energy level but your strength and outright determination to achieve an end result in whatever you are doing. Thanks again for sharing your life, your boys and your experiences in the rural Vietnamese mountains. Sending lots of love to you and the boys 🥰❤

I agree with the table incident. If you look back at the toy thing. Dung had it FIRST. HIS MOM GAVE IT TO HIM. I BELIEVE THAT ISVWHY HE WAS SO PERSISTENT AND HURT. His mom gave it to him, but it was put inside the horse trailer and Dau innocently grabbed it. I watch it twice. As I stated most children are selfish. I had 15 years of trying to get the babies/toddlers at our daycare to share or not to take a toy away from who had it first. It is in most young children's nature to be that way. Selfish, self-centered even grabby until you teach them. Siblings are often jealous of each other. If you pay too much attention to one they act out or may even start to resent their sibling. I hope things get easier for her. I hope the boys grow up best of friends. Her one on one time with him seems sweet but they BOTH MUST LEARN TO SHARE HER. The baby is getting a bit selfish and more of a crier. He demands her a bit more. Maybe the earache. I do not watch alone. My aide notices things also. I pray the baby doesn't become a crier too. She has her hands full. Her hands are still full once the camera stops filming. I will pray for her.

Ly por favor ya no le pegues y regañes feo a dung es un niño,por una piedra podrias haber tomado otra y darselo al pequeño pero no era motivo de regañarlo aparte pars que le das una piedra al pequeño no saber jugar lo que hizo fue echarselo a la boca y chuparlo solo lo estaba chupando en cambio dung sabe jugar,ten consideración dung también es un niño no tiene ni 8 o 9 años no desquites tus estres con dung por que el pequeño llora y no sabes que hacer porque aun en la comida se vio que le volviste a regañar porque el pequeño esraba llorando.

@@berem8506Dung looked at his mom smiling 55:13 when she started singing the song he likes & she was to busy with Dau to even see him. That broke my heart. Mr. Dau can do more than we think. Dung was on the table 58:00 Ly was telling him & Dau started his regular hollering and crying she ignored him for a minute and Dau pulled himself to her & was climbing up on her. He can do more, but she holds him so much we never see him. Maybe I'm wrong, but it sure looked like it. Dau is getting worse with the hollering and crying.😢

Claro que Dau entiende los efectos de su llanto, es que la mayoría de la gente subestima y creen que los niños no entienden pero claro que esa edad es cuando empiezan a experimentar maneras de comunicarse y llamar la atención , y a el le funciona llorar y no permite que ella le de atención a Dung ni para regañarlo como cuando lo estaba alimentando, hasta se levantó para que le dieran atención a el. Será muy triste que ella se distancie mas de Dung, si te fijas se detiene en acercarse demasiado a Dung para que Dau no llore.

People say she's a great mom and she is in a lot of way, but when it comes to letting a child a baby control you the parent from giving attention to your other child that's not a good parent. No child should control the parent. Dau knows exactly what he's doing. People talk about Dung, but Dau is getting just as bad if not worse than him. I hope she doesn't let Dau push her further away from Dung.

Why is your attention is to your pick up child and not for your biological child why is he being made with anger or the unexpected child of pregnancy. But if you look to both of them your own child is much healthy and is having beautiful strong body development. Thinking the gap of their age is too small. Your own child onow how to walk but your pick up child very slow the development she's lucky you pick up her but don't make your biological child take granted eventhough he is much stronger someday she will as you this question why you love him so much were not have the same face and body built.
Her son is very spoiled and he doesn't want that baby around his Mother, he's been breast fed by his Mother and still must be because he certainly does not eat and she can't do anything with him. The baby is very under developed from not being breast fed and no formula, just Rice & water for the baby.

OMG. You still let the eldest child get away with so much. He has such a terrible temper that has not yielded. He throws a tantrum, and their is very little scolding without consequences. This is why he continues to act up and try you. He yells for his food. I see that you've taught him to yell for his sippy cup, drink, and bottle. He yells for absolutely everything. I know that you've tried to make it a game, but for a child that already yells and screams for everything, it's not a good habit to teach. I'm not trying to be disrespectful to you, but this will never stop if you don't apply any consequences to his bad behaviors.

I don't think they realize how many germs they spread & how many diseases are out there. Those nasty pigeons she has the worse to have at the hut. You can become infected with these diseases by breathing in the dust that is created when cleaning droppings. I am concerned about the pigeons because they are in her garden lots of times and they do hang around her outdoor kitchen. Scary!
