I have three ohms, one for putting, two for throwing. I have the eclipse pilot for glow league and an electron soft pilot, because you need 5 putters for putt league. Love them. My only ace was with one of my throwing ohms. My first ohm was a sick dye job I found at my local disc store. I was in the market for a new putter and had to have the prettiest one, lol. It felt really good in the hand as well, so its been a great choice.
I have 4 pilots in electron plastic and one in eclipse. I also have a Neutron Ohm, Watt, and a couple glitches. To me the glitches and Watt are very similar. Watt is great! Ohm is slightly more torque resistant than the Watt. Pilot and Ohm are basically the same disc to me. Plus electron pilots are so cheap!
For anyone interested the Ohm is the Gyro version of the Pilot. Pilot released 2017. Ohm 2020. The Pilot is readily available in a few different plastics, and also has some pretty awesome Stamps. Ive noticed the Special Edition Neutron Pilots have a more gummy feeling plastic. Perhaps soft neutron, tho they arent advertised as such. Amazing disc. Currently bag two. One in Cosmic Neutron with stock stamp, and one Special Edition in an earthy cosmic softer neutron. Stock stamp is very stiff, and the SE, as mentioned, much softer. Both fly exactly the same, and only SLIGHTLY more understable than when new. Very torque resistant on hard backhands and on sidearms. Holds hyzer, and anhyzer lines very well. On anhyzer they will slowly fight to flat and land flat and soft. My most used discs over the past 2 years by far. *Apologies for posting my comments before seeing homie say exactly what I said in the video. I'll work on watching fully before commenting in the future.😂
I use a nomad, which seems to be really similar to the Ohm. I'd probably like the Ohm as well, so many good discs! Too many to try and too little time haha. I wonder if the release of the Nomad is part of the reason the Ohm didn't get a lot of love.
I have an Ohm that goes in and out of my bag. My main throwing putters are an Electron Envy that is beat to crap and a Proton Envy that I use for hyzers and flex shots. The Ohm is for that illusive straight shot, but I often end up using a Berg just as often for that distance. My ego wants to do those beautiful slow gliding straight shots, but my skill level likes to hammer the Berg and hope that it stops in time.
I bag both the Berg and the Ohm. The Berg is that disc that you can't go wrong with... when you're in range. The Ohm is for when you're outside Berg range.
The Soft Proton Ohm and the Glitch do feel very similar. The Ohm is perhaps slightly stiffer and of course you can notice the difference in weight. Other than that they would be hard to tell the difference in a blind test.
This one discs I’ve really wanted to try, I’m not sure if I’d have a need for it though. I have envys that cover all my throwing putter slots I’m not sure there’s a need for a different disc. I’d kinda like to find a premium plastic disc that flies like a beat to crap envy, I think the watt might be it
Very similar to Neutron Soft. I picked up a Proton Soft Deflector at the same time as the Ohm and I'm loving it also. Super overstable, moreso than the Neutron. I want to see way more Soft Proton. Feels so good.
BUY THIS DISC PEOPLE, I want MVP to keep making them. If I had to play with only 3 discs this would be one of them. I'll prob get a Watt just to check it out, but I'm not sure if less stability will do anything positive for me.
I have to say I'm not keen on the less stability of the Watt. I'd prefer to use a beat in Envy to fill that role. But yes, everybody should get an Ohm.
After your video I am excited to get my soft proton ohm which I just ordered. I really appreciate your in depth discussions of MVP discs.
You won't be disappointed.
Hello from New York. Love the videos!
Hey, thanks and g'day from just about the farthest location in the world from New York.
Sold! You had me at max weight Glitch 😂

Haha. Between Ohms and Pilots, I must have close to 20 discs.
Love seeing more insights on the Ohm. Newbie buddy got one and putts so good with it. Would love to see a comparison with the new Watt!
Stay tuned for an upcoming video - Ohm vs Pilot for putting.

Matt, loving the videos, I'd like to see an in the bag video, what do you think?

I think the Nomad may be the reason too. Great disc also but when you hate beaded putters, the Ohm is the one.
@@DiscGolfDownUnder that is very fair. I wonder what the ohm will be like, didn’t catch if it has a bead or not yet.
@@WierdGuy523 The video does a great job of showing it off, but the Ohm is beadless (as is the Watt).

Love the ohm, great to see a video on it. I have a watt too but the ohm is the one I reach for all the time. What a sweet disc ❤
Ohm is still my favourite. Also bag the Watt but the Ohm gets used way more often.
What do you think of it in comparison to the Glitch? Not just flight but also rim depth and hand feel?
The Soft Proton Ohm and the Glitch do feel very similar. The Ohm is perhaps slightly stiffer and of course you can notice the difference in weight. Other than that they would be hard to tell the difference in a blind test.

I do love the Envy but have never found one that flies as straight as the Ohm.
How soft is the proton soft? Asking because I might snag a proton soft deflector

I've heard this is like a max weight glitch.. Thoughts?
watch the end minute
Lol yep!
I think so. Maybe not as flippy as the Glitch, but I have a very lightweight Glitch that flies very similar to the Ohm but with the extra glide.
I love how every 18-22' putt is edge of circle.
Haha. Looks closer on video but they were definitely close to edge of circle. In that scary zone from 27 to 33 feet.
