Our augite crystals are just shelf specimens, as well. Thanks for the informative video, Kyle.

That tuft is more fluff! The crystals are self extracting, which is good except for the display pieces! I think if it is durable enough to withstand the wheels and polishing it, they may be durable enough to take a wire wrapping that protects the crystal from being banged around, and breaking, with maybe a little CA glue to stablilize it a little better and a longer crystal, i think it will make an interesting and a unique piece of jewelery! Its beautiful. You did an amazing job in polishing! You are the man Kyle! Thanks for that demonstration!

Thank you for the nice compliment and I will try using CA on it in the future to see how well it can hold up because if they can be in functional jewelry - they have the potential to be neat things to wear!

Augonite... I would love to be able to test a perfect specimen with pasio effect I got the feeling it may cause a force field effect

fractured but does it stay together? If it stays together, may be worth doing something with, nice shine!

Too bad about the fractures! It's going to be the ultimate quest to discover some solid material!

Right? I have plenty to check through. I'm sure there must be a specimen solid enough to work. Or even try and get one to get a slice out of.

Thanks for sharing! Love watching others polish.
Too bad it’s fractured so much. 🫠 Still a pretty mineral!
    Stay Crystal 💫
