- I had the pleasure of writing, directing and playing "Granny" in my new version of BLACK IN TIME WITH GRANNY 2018 (A Journey through the History of Black Music). In 2013, I wrote and directed the first BLACK IN TIME WITH GRANNY where Granny took her grand-children "Black" in time to meet the great Legends from the past. A special thanks goes out to my husband, Tony Grant, for being a part of this wonderful production and lending his talents on stage and behind the scenes. Rosalind Scarborough, president of the NAACP San Fernando Valley Chapter, co-ordinates all of the Black History programs yearly at Reseda Church of Christ and I am also grateful to her, Doctor Winrow, Robert Guy, Brian Henry, Sherdale Smith, my daughter Dena Yoba, my videographer/editor Anthony Wanzer and the entire cast & crew of BLACK IN TIME WITH GRANNY. Most of all, thank you Lord for the talents, gifts and vision. I will always be willing to serve.

This was such an awesome moment that will forever be embedded in my life. The stage play written, directed and produced by Trisha Mann Grant entitled “Black In Time With Granny”. It has all of the elements of a national hit stage play. Trisha’s vision made me laugh, cry, reflect, ponder and reminisce about the joys and pains of life but in the end gratefulness will filled my heart. Fantastic job baby I’m so proud of you.
What an exceptional play regarding the history of Black Music. All of the singers were very talented. I really enjoyed Granny's witty remarks and satire. Trisha, you did an outstanding job!!!
