I’m so glad these shows are introducing new generations to old music. I first heard Kate Bush in season 2 of The Handmaids Tale when they used her song “This Woman’s Work” in the premiere episode and fell in love with her immediately. Now people are going nuts over this “Running up the hill” song and it’s so exciting to see her get a new crowd of fans all over again. The Devil represented by Vecna, doing anything possible to keep his hold on you. Dropping objects in order to destroy the believer and prevent them from reaching God's redemption. It’s this traumatized girl’s favorite song that becomes the key to her old friends saving her life from a paranormal entity that feeds on unprocessed trauma.
The meaning it has in the show has to do with:
      - Loss
      - Friendship
      - Healing
      - Running full speed toward your friends as you escape a violent hellscape before you’re killed, knowing the last thing you’ll hear is them screaming your name in grief and terror

"Running Up That Hill" is one of the strongest lead-ins for an album ever, too. "And Dream of Sheep" has always made me cry, for some reason, and "Under Ice" never fails to give me chills.
