I love that people like you, that not that long ago knew them, or had a wrong perception of them were at their show and truly enjoyed cause I've been a fan since they were doing RUclips videos, and saw all their tours through a screen and always thought their live performances were their thing, like they were made for that, and finally this year I had the chance to see them live on the first 2 dates of tour and I can confirm, the energy, the setlist, the way they planed the show to not only give us a great couple of songs but to interact with the public, and have fun with us making all those transitions, the dice with old songs we always ask them to play, the confetti, really been in a lot of shows but this felt different, like old friends having a great moment together Also here in Argentina public were mostly girls in their twenties, but also were many men at same age too, but what surprised me is that afterwards many dads were chatting about being pleasantly surprised about the quality of the show, and how everyone there were singing and jumping together like at any other rock show they went in their young age, so they end up jumping in moshpits too, really proud moment as a fan
So great to get to hear your thoughts!! Last year I got to experience a Harry Show and the Louis and a few months later 5SOS. I’m 47 also long time music lover and hadn’t been to many concerts in the last few years. And Nathan I grew up in performing arts, theater but I especially classical and modern dance. Very familiar with performing, choreography and the background going in to pull off shows. 3 very different venues. Harry was about 60,000 in door stage in the round. Incredible screens and effects. Incredible performer as always, humor etc. Difficult to catch jokes and interactions But Great. Louis small indoor venue old historic with gorgeous chandeliers in Atlanta! ~10,000. Felt so intimate. His voice insane. I’m biased too cause it’s Louis of course. Then 5 SOS in outdoor Amphitheater. Probably 10000+. Concert wise it was most impressive experience. Every member of band exquisite, everyone singing, all lighting, sound, and vocals just so tight. Personalities. Outside at night. I fought against myself because I just didn’t want to put it above Louis. But honestly it was one of the best show I’ve experienced. Felt so much joy! (But saw Louis again last month and his show was even bigger and the lights, transitions, set list and vocals killed it. He killed me! There’s nothing like Louis!) 🫶🏻✌️☀️
Absolutely there's nothing like Louis Tomlinson Concert. Those who don't know his Music and Live Performance are Missing Out on the most Amazing, Intimate and Passionate experience of their lives
Love this guys! I'm a huge Metallica fan, seen them about 9 times throughout Europe now. But I was a teen when 5sos was at their all-time high popularity wise so I grew up with them. Nice to see other people open-minded enough to see that good musicianship cannot be boxed into one category!
Saw 5SOS twice, 2015 and 2022. Original date was 2020 but it got pushed to 2022 because of the pandemic. 7 years was a long time to wait to see them. Hoping for a new tour soon. I'm so happy you got to see them live, their concert last year is the best live concert experience I've ever had and sounds like they put on quite a show in Toronto, which they always do. I did not get a ticket for this year but sounds like it's very similar to last year's (short video during breaks, lighting effects, stage background). Everything you talked about (talking breaks, a true 5SOS show, interaction with the crowd): 5SOS have been doing all that ever since they started touring (they did it too in 2015, which was their first headlining tour, even tho they only had one album out and a couple of EPs, still had a setlist of 20 full songs). Just glad you got to experience a 5SOS show the way it's meant to be experienced. Last year's concerts in Europe were in summer, this year's they happen in fall. They like to change the order every couple of years. Speaking about the setlist, 28 songs for the 5SOS show, woah, that's impressive. Last year's we had 26 but we had a couple more songs from CALM (8 instead of 2) and because the tour got pushed to 2022 instead of 2020 we had a couple songs from 5SOS5 (which I'm very grateful I got to experience but very jealous I didn't get to experience Babylon and You Don't Go To Parties live). Voodoo Doll I have heard live in 2015 but I don't think they've performed it in a long time (after some research I found out they haven't played it live since 2016). Vapor I had heard live last year during soundcheck (they also did Valentine) but they also haven't played it live since 2016. I'm glad they are putting some older songs back on the setlist. Calum, yes. So happy you mentioned his vocals, they need to be acknowledged more because over the years he put a lot of work into his vocals (he always sounded angelic to me but god damn he sounds insanely incredible now). Michael and Ashton are absolute beasts on guitar and drums. Cal is perfection on the bass. And Luke is just Luke, he's the best! Thank you for your review, it was really interesting to hear people's thoughts after having experienced 5SOS live for the first time (it brought be back to 2015 or should I say 2011 haha). Much love guys PS: A full concert in 2015 was filmed and released as part of a documentary called "how did we end up here". If you want to watch the performances only, they should be on YT. There are also live albums you can listen to.
To me it was a perfect show and I loved every minute of it. The only complaint id have is that 2 songs from CALM wasn't enough, it is my favorite album and it felt so left out 😞 but the guys were amazing and she show, the crowd.. I'm glad you enjoyed it, it's never the Luke show because they always make sure to leave space for every member of the band and that's why they are so great. I'm glad they played Best Friends it was such a great concert song!! I've also been very lucky to do the vip soundcheck experience and it was really great. They soundchecked two songs and answered some questions and they were really the way they are during interviews so it was a great experience! Again so sad I didn't spot you guys! And I visited Ottawa right after the show before going back to Vancouver so that's funny 😂
I saw them live in argentina the 20th of july, they are so fucking amazing live like how con you sound even BETTER LIVE?? I love them, so glad you enjoyed it, I really recomend you doing a youngblood (the album) review, I think you're gonna love it
Saw them in Düsseldorf (Germany) for that tour with my boyfriend. We have been down in the pit and we actually had two barricades, got a spot right at the second one, which was like.. 20 meters from the stage. It was so freaking loud and I had this guy right next to me who was also screaming these lyrics, it was insane. Our spot was packed and moving was nearly impossible, but we still had a pretty good time. Except for that Pizza incident that made it around the world, which was totally not cool and I swear I would not have been surprised if they actually would have cut any other song because of it. I will not deny that it was kinda funny to hear it live once in my life because it has been iconic back in the day, but not like this. Crowd was rude af with it and if I had been them I would not have given into the demand. But in the end it was Luke who agreed to play it, after Mike and Ash already sayed hell no, not in this f*cking lifetime 😅

I just saw them at Madison Square Garden last week, it was great!
Why didn't u talked to @5SOS • and interviewed them .
lmao cause they need media passes to do that which most people aren’t able to obtain
